London Hits the Jackpot: Europe’s Top Casino City Revealed

As Europe heads into the height of its summer travel season, a new report from Gambling.com has revealed that London is not only a cultural and historic powerhouse, it’s also the number one destination on Europe’s casino bucket list.

Based on Google Reviews and tourism data, the study showcases the best casino hotspot in each of Europe’s 10 most visited cities.

With its luxurious ambiance and central location, Grosvenor Casino, St Giles, has clinched the top spot, placing the UK capital firmly at the center of European casino tourism.

London’s Grosvenor Casino Takes Top Spot

Situated in the heart of London’s vibrant Theatreland, the Grosvenor Casino boasts a stellar Google Review rating of 4.8 out of 5.

It offers a rich blend of entertainment, gaming and luxury. The plush gaming floor features American roulette, blackjack, three-card poker, Punto Banco, and Shoot Dice, making it a haven for both experienced gamblers and curious tourists.

Its location near iconic West End theatres and dining hotspots makes it a perfect pre- or post-show indulgence.

This combination of high-end gaming, prime location and modern facilities explains why it tops the list of casino destinations across Europe.

Chic Competition: Paris And Vienna Close Behind

Following closely behind London is Club Circus Paris, scoring 4.5 on Google Reviews.

With 31 poker and dealer game tables, a classy bar, and a gourmet restaurant, this Parisian hotspot is ideally located near several major sports and entertainment venues including the Parc des Princes and Roland-Garros.

Its chic design and strong poker focus appeal to both locals and international players alike.

In third place is Casino Baden in Vienna, rated at 4.4. Unlike its urban counterparts, this casino exudes classic grandeur in a historic building, blending elegance with a rich cultural heritage.

Known as one of Europe’s largest and most majestic casinos, Casino Baden offers a unique escape into the refined side of gaming, surrounded by Austrian architectural beauty.

Honorable Mentions For Madrid And Amsterdam

Madrid’s Casino Gran Vía I Poker Room takes fourth place with a 4.2 rating.

Set in a grand, classical building, it’s a favorite among players who appreciate a touch of historical charm with their poker.

Just behind it is Amsterdam’s Holland Casino, which combines modern, sleek interiors with a comprehensive gaming experience, rated at 4.1.

Barcelona’s Casino Barcelona and Rome’s Slot Palace Le Palme Roma tie for sixth place with solid scores of 4.0.

Both offer an engaging mix of slot machines, poker, and traditional table games, though they cater more to casual tourists and those seeking a lighter casino experience.

Notable, But Not Top Tier

While still offering quality gaming experiences, the bottom three on the list received comparatively lower ratings.

Regency Casino Mont Parnes in Athens and Casino di Campione in Milan both scored 3.9.

Venice’s historic Casino Di Venezia, the oldest casino in the world, received a 3.8, likely due to modern competition and changing tourist expectations.

These venues, though not leading in customer satisfaction scores, continue to attract visitors with their unique cultural and architectural allure.

For example, the Casinò Di Venezia remains a historical gem nestled along the canals of one of Italy’s most romantic cities.

Travel Meets Thrill: Europe’s Diverse Casino Landscape

The research, anchored in Statista tourism data and Google Reviews, highlights how the casino experience across Europe varies as widely as its cities.

From London’s bustling nightlife to Vienna’s aristocratic elegance and Paris’ modern chic, each destination offers its own flavor of casino culture.

As National Wanna Get Away Day approaches, this curated list serves as a guide for travelers seeking a unique blend of adventure, culture, and casino thrills.

Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for a glamorous night out, Europe’s top casino cities promise entertainment that extends far beyond the roulette wheel.

So, for your next bucket list escape, you might want to swap the sightseeing brochure for a poker chip - and let the games begin.
