The 49ers sit in the seventh and final playoff spot and a win tonight moves them ½ game ahead of the Washington Commanders, who are 6-5 and in fourth place in the NFC East Division.

The 49ers have an edge on both sides of the ball against the Cardinals. The 49ers rank best in the NFL allowing an average of 281 yards per game and second-best allowing 4.7 yards per play. 

The Cardinals' offense has struggled mightily this season and ranks 29th, gaining an average of 4.9 yards per play and they rank 28th converting 35% of their third-down situations. 

The 49ers' defense, now at full strength, will present a gauntlet of troubles for the Cardinals to be capable of sustaining scoring drives tonight.

Say what you want about 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, but he is an NFL-best 10-2 when throwing no touchdowns.
