I know you probably think I’m crazy targeting the Coral Cup as my best value bet of the Cheltenham Festival this year, but hear me out.

It is, of course, one of the most competitive handicaps of the week, but I just can’t believe this horse is a double-figure price and for that reason I make him a strong bet.

Couple that with the fact I think the favourite Be Aware is massively too short, then it looks an outstanding play on betting sites

The horse in question is Impose Toi for Nicky Henderson.

He has targeted this race down the years winning it with the likes of Whisper, William Henry and Dame De Compagnie, and it is a race that has favoured lightly raced hurdlers.

This 7-year-old has only had eight starts over timber and he has won four of them, which is not a bad strike rate.

I was impressed with him winning at Newbury when last seen, and he could still be a fair bit better than a mark of 141.

This is the race where usually there are still seven or eight in contention, if not more, jumping the last and his patient riding style could see him pick his way through in the closing stages.

For the handicaps at Cheltenham I always like to look at the stats and trends, as you can see below he ticks nearly every single one which only further bolsters confidence.

I do respect the front pair on betting apps, but Be Aware is a tricky horse who needs everything to drop perfectly. With Dan Skelton being so bullish, I think he has been overbet as a result.

Wodhooh beat Joyeuse at Cheltenham when last seen, and Joyeuse has obviously been mega impressive since, but I think people have taken that too literally, so there is a case to be made she is the wrong price on horse racing betting sites as well.

I’m confident our selection is not only the best value in this race but the best you’ll find across the entire week at the Cheltenham Festival.
