Andy Brassell's Weekend Football Tips Including Tottenham Vs Aston Villa

European football expert Andy Brassell has three more tips for this weekend's action, as domestic football returns after the second international break of the season.
As always, Andy will provide a fourth selection exclusively for Gambling.com account holders, using the latest odds from Grosvenor.

Andy Brassell's Tip 1: Nice Vs Lyon: Saturday, 4pm
Lyon’s home defeat to Toulouse just before the international pause was a real surprise for three reasons.
For the result itself, for the manner of it (having led in the 85th minute), and because it meant a game involving Paulo Fonseca’s team went over 2.5 total goals for only the third time in nine matches this season.
Game Notes
Under 2.5 total goals has landed in:
6 of Lyon's 9 league & cup games
3 of the last 4 meetings
So the fact that Nice have had a poor start to the campaign - and are carrying an extensive injury list in defence - shouldn’t dissuade us from the prevailing trend of OL’s season so far.
We would expect to last until winter (and some possible transfer action) at least.

Andy Brassell's Tip 2: Bayern Munich Vs Borussia Dortmund, Saturday, 5.30pm
Even at such an early stage of the season there is the sense that a lot rides on this for the Bundesliga season.
Bayern have been impeccable out of the blocks, with six wins from six so far, 25 scored and just three conceded and they are playing with great style, as was the case as they swatted aside Eintracht Frankfurt last time out.
Dortmund dropped two points at home to a fellow Champions League contender in Leipzig last time out, which suggests a gulf.
Games Notes
2024/25 Meetings:
Dortmund 1-1 Bayern Munich (November 30, 2024)
Bayern Munich 2-2 Dortmund (April 12, 2025)
However, despite a number of horrendous experiences away at the Allianz Arena in the last decade, they have taken a win and a draw from their last two visits there, suggesting the end of their phobia.
If Niko Kovac can make his team defend rigorously, they have the enterprise to counter.

Andy Brassell's Tip 3: Tottenham Vs Aston Villa, Sunday, 2pm
There are many positives to be taken from the first few months of Thomas Frank at Tottenham, sorting their poor home form is yet to be one of them.
Spurs have just three Premier League wins at perhaps Europe’s finest stadium in the past 11 months, and those against Burnley, Southampton and Manchester United.
It is easy to blame that all on Ange Postecoglou, but dropping points to Bournemouth and Wolves at home already is not encouraging and Villa arrive on the up, with the Carabao Cup loss on penalties at Brentford their only defeat since August.
Unai Emery does not quite have his team at their best yet but they are clearly on the up and worth backing on betting apps.
Andy's Panel Selection 3: Tottenham Vs Aston Villa: Villa To Win - 12/5 With Grosvenor
Andy's weekend treble pays out at around 40/1 with Grosvenor.
