Ladbrokes And Coral Betting Shops To Feature Pragmatic Play Slots

Ladbrokes and Coral have agreed a deal with Pragmatic Play, which will see the studio’s Big Bass slots added to gaming cabinets in the brands’ nearly 3,000 betting shops.

They are two of the oldest betting shop franchises in the UK, having been founded in 1886 and 1926, respectively.

After the two merged in 2016 to form Ladbrokes Coral, they were acquired by Entain in 2018 and operate as omnichannel betting and gambling operators.

As well as TVs showing live races, coffee machines and containers full of mini pens, gaming machines are a common fixture in UK betting shops.

Even after the government reduced the maximum stake on betting machines from £100 to £2 in May 2018, physical slot machines have remained a popular inclusion in bookies across the country.

Punters in Ladbrokes and Coral will soon be able to play some of the internet’s most popular online slots – Big Bass games from Pragmatic Play.

The deal represents the first time the hugely popular online slot series will be made available in a large physical entity like Ladbrokes Coral.

Big Bass Slots

Pragmatic Play launched Big Bass Bonanza in 2020. It added features like player levels, free spins and multipliers to the surprisingly popular fishing genre.

Big Bass Bonanza went on to become, and is still, one of the most popular online slots available.

That popularity has led to the launch of a dozen more titles, including seasonal reskins and a host of sequels.

Bigger Bass Megaways added the Megaways mechanic, offering 46,656 ways to win.

Big Bass Splash added bonus modifiers and new releases since then have typically introduced or tweaked the game’s features.

The series remains popular thanks to a combination of bright, recognisable visuals, with intuitive gameplay, powerful features and generous jackpots.

Big Bass games routinely feature in the list of most popular online slots and Entain hopes the existing popularity of the series will help make them popular in their shops.
