Peaky Blinders Odds: Barry Keoghan Expected To Appear In Surprise 7th Series

Peaky Blinders fans are gearing up for the release of the movie spin-off, The Immortal Man, and they appear to have a seventh series to look forward to as well.
A recent report in The Sun newspaper, which took some supporters by surprise, has suggested the hit BBC show will be back for another run on the channel, and filming is expected to get underway as early as September.
A TV insider told the publication: "The sixth series of Peaky Blinders was supposed to be the last and the movie was meant to be the final farewell for the story.
"But show boss Steven Knight couldn’t resist coming back to the story - his most famous creation - and he’s been dropping hints he wanted to return to do more.
"But the fact that it’s been officially green-lit by the Beeb and wheels are in motion on pre- production will be a huge thrill to fans of the show, which was a huge hit for the BBC."
While the movie is set during World War II, the new series is expected to be set in the 1950s, meaning main character Tommy Shelby, perfectly portrayed by Cillian Murphy, will be getting on.
News of a potential seventh series has sparked speculation on betting sites about which stars might return, or join the cast afresh.
Barry Back For Series 7?
It would be a huge shock if Cillian didn't appear in the seventh series as Tommy, but the gangster's time as the main man in Brum could soon be coming to an end.
Some have speculated that The Immortal Man will spell the end of Tommy, while others believe it could just close a chapter in his life.
He told the Irish Star: "I have always said that if Knight delivers a script that I know he can deliver, because he is such a phenomenal writer, I'll be there... If we want to watch 50-year-old Tommy Shelby, I will be there. Let's do it."
Cillian is just 1/5 on betting apps to be back for a seventh series of the TV show.
While exact plot details for The Immortal Man are yet to be confirmed, it's rumoured that one of the main storylines will explore Tommy's relationship with his illegitimate firstborn son Erasmus "Duke" Shelby.
The character was portrayed by Conrad Khan in the sixth series of the TV show, but it's heavily rumoured that Barry Keoghan - who is known to be part of the film - will step into the role on the big screen.
If the seventh series of the TV show is set in the 1950s then this could see Duke take over the reins from Tommy.
Could it be that shooting the movie has been so successful with Keoghan as Duke that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has urged the BBC to commission a seventh series with him as the lead character?
Stranger things have happened on the small screen, and Keoghan is just 4/9 to appear in a seventh season.

Regulars To Return
Sophie Rundle has appeared in all six Peaky Blinders series, as Ada Thorne, and she is expected to reprise her role in The Immortal Man.
The actress is just 8/13 for a spin in the seventh series, while Anya Taylor-Joy is a 4/6 chance to reprise her role as meddling Gina Gray.
What's more, Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth will feature in The Immortal Man.
It's not known who they will portray in the motion picture, but Rebecca is just 6/4 and Tim is 2/1 to reprise their roles in the seventh series.
It would be no surprise to see Peaky Blinders regulars Packy Lee and Ned Dennehy return for another season of the show.
Both are to feature in the film, and they are 4/5 apiece to reprise their roles as Johnny Dogs and Charlie Strong in the new series.
What's more, Stephen Graham is Evens to be back as Hayden Stagg in the TV show after appearing in the sixth series.
While it feels like Stephen must be chock-a-block with work at the moment after an incredible performance in Netflix megahit Adolescence, he is expected to play Hayden in The Immortal Man and could reprise his role in the 50s-set series.
Benjamin Zephaniah was in all six seasons of Peaky Blinders as Jeremiah "Jimmy" Jesus, but he, sadly, won't be part of the seventh after he passed away in 2023.
What's more, it would be a huge Peaky Blinders boost for viewers of series seven if Tom Hardy reprised his role as Alfred "Alfie" Solomons (11/10).
Oldman And Mirren Looking Peaky?
It's not known if Hardy is appearing in The Immortal Man, but if he does then he may be able to tempt his Dark Knight Rises co-star Gary Oldman to appear in the project.
Slow Horses star Oldman is clearly a huge fan of the series, after praising Hardy's "spectacularly good" Peaky performance in 2022.
Oldman is 4/1 to appear in the seventh series, while Jason Statham is an 8/1 shot.
The Beekeeper star was originally set to portray Shelby ahead of Murphy, because Knight preferred his physicality.
However, a text from Murphy to Knight, which read: "Remember, I'm an actor," played a huge part in Knight changing his mind - and the rest is history.
Another big-name star who could make a Peaky series seven cameo is Dame Helen Mirren (5/1).
And if it comes to fruition, it wouldn't be the first time Mirren has appeared in a Knight production.
She led the cast of 2014 movie The Hundred-Foot Journey, which Knight wrote.
Others in contention include Timothy Spall (6/1) and Olivia Colman (7/1).
