2023 US Open Odds, Expert Picks & Predictions:

The biggest tennis event in North America hits our TV screens this week for the US Open and we have put together all our US Open tennis women's predictions from the best online betting sites.

Ons Jabeur has been taking many headlines ahead of this hard-court Grand Slam after another defeat at a Wimbledon final, and she is now +1800 to win the US Open with FanDuel. The Tunisian also lost the final of this competition last year, as Iga Swiatek heads the US Open betting odds as the favorite to earn her fifth grand slam after beating Jabeur.

Only Naomi Osaka has won more than one US Open title since the end of the dominant Serena Williams era, with seven different women taking home the title at Flushing Meadows since 2014.

Top Contenders & US Open Odds

The hard court season is well and truly underway and the final Grand Slam of the calendar year is upon us in New York. The qualifiers are down, and the US Open begins on August 28th and will run until September 12th.

Swiatek is top of our US Open tennis picks after her triumph in 2022, but after many upsets at Wimbledon this summer, there are many other names jumping out to us for the US Open tennis women predictions.

Canadian star, Bianca Andreescu, is the most notable absentee from the women's game with her withdrawal due to a lower back injury, and Paula Badosa has also ended her season ahead of the showdown in New York because of an injury. Caty McNally and Simona Halep will also not compete for the 2023 US Open Cup title due to withdrawals.

⭐  Iga Swiatek (+210) at FanDuel

As one of the best to ever do it at just 22 years of age, Swiatek is the clear favorite in the US Open betting odds with the Pole heading to New York as the defending champion.

With a stunning record of 266–64 (80.6%) in her career already, Swiatek has a record of 13-3 (81%) at the US Open and her triumph in 2022 at Flushing Meadows earned her the WTA Player of the Year.

This year, the 22-year-old phenom earned her 100th hardcourt win already and is by far the best hardcourt player in the women's game. In fact, with a record of 108–35 (76%), Swiatek has won 45 more matches on hard courts than her next best (clay) court.

Aryna Sabalenka (+440) at Caesars

Although she is yet to make it past the semi-finals of the US Open, Aryna Sabalenka is right near the top of the US Open best bets  because of her fantastic run of form on hard courts so far.

The Belarusian has made it to the semi-finals in the past two US Opens and holds a better record at this major than her attempts at the other three with a 15-5 (75%) tally.

On hard courts over the past 12 months, Sabalenka has claimed 39.0% of her return games and 75.5% of her service games and has a total record of 214 wins and 87 losses (71.1%) on hard courts. If Swiatek takes a loss before they could potentially meet, Sabalenka will prove to be one of the best US Open best bets at this tournament.

Cori Gauff (+700) at DraftKings

As one of the few Americans across the women's and men's games in the top five list of the US Open tennis picks, Cori Gauff will aim to become just the fourth American to win the women’s draw this century.

Gauff also heads into this tournament with about as much confidence as she could hope for after defeating the US Open betting odds favorite, Swiatek, at the recent Cincinnati Masters final 7-6, 3-6, 6-4.

She also made it to the quarter-finals last year at just 18 years old and after beating Swiatek, Gauff is a good choice for your US Open tennis picks with a 35-9 record on hard courts.

⭐ Jessica Pegula (+850) at bet365

We keep our US Open tennis predictions going with another America, Jessica Pegula, who is the oldest from our US Open betting odds  list at 29. What’s more, the American is also a New Yorker and will have her hometown crowd behind her as she aims to get to the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time ever.

Last year, she made it to the quarter-finals of the US Open, while also doing the same at the French Open, Australian Open and at this year's Wimbledon too.

Pegula has a weak record in comparison to others on this list, putting together a 9-6 record at the US Open and a set record of 237-149 on hard courts.

As a huge outsider, Pegula is going to need to be at her very best to upset our US Open tennis predictions.

⭐ Elena Rybakina (+1000) BetMGM

Elena Rybakina stunned the women's game when she won Wimbledon in 2022, beating Jabeur from a set down.

Rybakinaa did also make it to the Australian Open earlier this year, but her best record at the US Open is a finish at the third round back in 2021. The one-time Grand Slam champion holds a poor record of 3-4 (43%) at this major and was also knocked out in round one last year, just two months on from winning Wimbledon.

We don’t expect much from Rybakina, as she has often struggled on hard courts with a record of 19-13 in 2022 and 18-14 in 2021.

Final Thoughts and Factors to Consider Before Betting on US Open

Before diving into the odds and registering with premier online sportsbooks, don't miss out on the lucrative welcome bonuses. Use these to kickstart your US Open Women's picks. It's crucial to consider several key factors that can significantly influence your betting decisions.

These factors offer a holistic perspective on what to expect at the Women's US Open, serving as a guide for fans, analysts, and bettors to make well-informed choices and revel in the excitement of the tournament.

⭐ Court Surface

The Women's US Open is played on a hard court, renowned for its quick pace and uniform bounce. This surface generally favors players with an aggressive style, excelling in powerful serves and groundstrokes. Some tennis players have demonstrated remarkable prowess on hard courts, and they certainly stand to gain from this type of surface. The court speed can also affect the length of rallies and the efficacy of certain shots, making adaptability crucial for success.

Recent Form

A player's recent form serves as a vital gauge of their current momentum and self-assurance. Performances leading up to the tournament, including wins and losses, titles, head-to-head stats, and consistency across match phases, are pivotal in assessing their readiness for the Women's US Open.

For instance, a player with a string of hard-court victories prior to the event may possess a mental advantage. On the flip side, a player in a slump could face difficulties in the initial rounds. This factor is a cornerstone in Women's US Open forecasts and is keenly observed by top-tier betting platforms.

Injuries

Injuries can dramatically alter the landscape of tennis, particularly in a grueling event like the Women's US Open. Any substantial injuries to marquee players can severely affect their game and, consequently, the match outcome. Even minor injuries can result in fatigue and a dip in performance as the tournament advances. Injury updates are also factored into Women's US Open odds, with sportsbooks adjusting the lines based on a player's physical state.

Weather Conditions

Climate plays a noteworthy role in the Women's US Open. Hot, humid conditions can impact player stamina and ball dynamics, while wind can modify shot trajectories and complicate serves. Knowing how various players fare in different weather scenarios can be invaluable for predicting match results.

Player Matchups

Grasping the nuances of individual player matchups and styles is fundamental in forecasting match results. Some players may possess a style that specifically counters an opponent, irrespective of rankings or recent form. A deep dive into head-to-head records, playing styles, and strengths and weaknesses can offer valuable insights for bettors and is often utilized by leading sportsbooks to set Women's US Open odds.
