The state of legal sports wagers in Mississippi is currently up in the air. At the time of writing, sports betting is only available when visiting a licensed casino. There's currently not much information available about when legal online sports betting will be available in the state.

After many years of bills being submitted and dying before they see the light of day, it seems that legal online Mississippi sports betting is finally finding its feet. The most recent bill that the Mississippi House approved would see a sports betting task force put in place. The 11-person task force would be able to handle any new bills that come forward and deal with any issues that raise their heads. The amended HB-606 bill is expected to be approved and come into effect in December of 2023.
