Carlos Alcaraz vs. Jordan Thompson Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ Alcaraz -5.5 games (+108) at FanDuel

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz opens the Western & Southern Open with a matchup against Jordan Thompson. Alcaraz is coming off a quarterfinal loss to Tommy Paul at the Canadian Open, which was just his fifth loss of the season (51-5) and moved his record to 12-2 on hard courts.

Alcaraz didn't look as dominant at Canada as he has for much of hard-court play this season. Unforced errors crept in more than usual, but we still see him dominating Thompson and like Alcaraz -5.5 games (+108) at FanDuel. Thompson has been a consistent player all season, but he's nowhere near the caliber player of Alcaraz and will struggle to find offense against Alcaraz's court coverage.

Look for a bounce-back dominating win from Alcaraz as he continues to ramp up for the U.S. Open later this month.

Best Betting Pick: ⭐ Alcaraz -5.5 games (+108) at FanDuel

Cameron Norrie vs. Gael Monfils: Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ Monfils to win (+100) at BetMGM

Gael Monfils has returned from an injury at the French Open to playing like a top player in the world. He defeated Alexander Bublik in Washington and also topped Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets en route to a quarterfinal run at the Canadian Open. Now, he opens play at Cincinnati with another top-ranked player, Cameron Norrie.

We like  Monfils to win (+100) at BetMGM given his recent run of form. He's 5-2 on North American hard courts and has found something with his game during this part of the schedule. Look for him to control the baseline against a struggling Norrie.

Norrie has yet to win a match after Wimbledon, losing to Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first round of the Los Cabos Open before falling to De Minaur in the first round of the Canadian Open. Monfils also holds a 2-0 record over Norrie, and we expect that trend to continue.

Best Betting Pick: Monfils to win (+100) at BetMGM

Alex De Minaur vs. J.J. Wolf Predictions, Odds, Betting Tips

⭐ De Minaur win (-152) at FanDuel

It's fair to wonder how much Alex De Minaur has left. The Australian has been superb during this North American hard-court swing, reaching the finals of the Los Cabos Open and the Canadian Open before losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner. Fatigue could be an issue for De Minaur against J.J. Wolf.

But given his form on hard courts, we like De Minaur win (-152) at FanDuel. He's in top form and has beaten top hard-court players such as Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev. With two straight finals appearances, we don't expect him to falter this early in an ATP Masters 1000 event. De Minaur should be able to grind down Wolf from the baseline, and he's a player whose long-term physical conditioning hasn't been questioned throughout his career and should have enough for the win here.

Wold has lost his last two matches, with both defeats coming in straight sets to Tallon Griekspoor and Alejandro Advidovich Fokina. Neither is playing as well as De Minaur right now, and we expect Wolf to continue his struggles.

Best Betting Pick: De Minaur win (-152) at FanDuel
