In this NL West battle and for our Giants vs. Padres predictions, we have Logan Webb on the hill for the home team while Blake Snell takes the mound for San Diego.

As far as first-inning runs go, the Padres have done well this season, scoring 0.67 (fifth in the league), while the Giants are less with 0.45 (tied for 23rd).

Both Snell and Webb have pitched well this season. Snell is 14-9 with a 2.33 ERA, while Webb is 10-13 but still has a 3.35 ERA.

In the first inning this season, both players have pitched with a solid ERA. Webb has a 3.94 ERA in the first inning, while Snell is at 2.90.

Of course, the side to be worried about is Webb, but he’ll take on a top three of the Padres lineup with Ha-Seong Kim, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Juan Soto, all of which are hitting .275 or less.
