Commanders vs. Cowboys Thursday Night Football Picks & NFL Player Props 11/23

Thursday Night Football Picks & Thanksgiving NFL Player Props

Heading into Thanksgiving, the Cowboys are the largest favorites in Week 12, favored by 11 points over the Commanders.

The Commanders are reeling from a tough loss to the Giants, marked by six turnovers and three touchdown passes by Giants QB Tommy DeVito.

They now face a Dallas team with superior talent on both offense and defense, and a perfect 4-0 ATS record at AT&T Stadium this year.

However, the Commanders have also been strong on the road, boasting a 5-1 ATS record away from FedEx Field.

This sets the stage for an intense NFC East showdown where either team's impressive record could be challenged.

All of this should make for plenty of Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bets in the Commanders vs. Cowboys matchup.

Thursday Night Football Picks: Sam Howell OVER 65.5 Pass Yards

Howell's passing prowess is evident, with an average of 276.2 yards per game, exceeding his prop bet total for the upcoming contest set at 265.5, that's why he's the first of my NFL Picks for Thanksgiving.

In 11 games this year, he has gone beyond this mark six times. His average passing yards surpass his season's average prop bet (244.2) by a notable 32.0 yards.

Additionally, Howell has outdone his passing yards prop bet in five out of seven instances this season.

Demonstrating his touchdown-throwing ability, he has scored in nine out of 11 games, and impressively, he's thrown more than one touchdown pass in five of these games.

Thursday Night Football Picks: Ceedee Lamb OVER Receiving 90.5 Yards

In Thursday's Thanksgiving game, Lamb's average of 101.3 receiving yards per game stands significantly higher, by 10.8 yards, than his prop bet total.

This season, he's surpassed 90.5 receiving yards in half of his games (five out of 10). Lamb's performance averages 27.3 yards more than his typical over/under of 74.0 yards.

He has also exceeded his receiving yards prop bet in four out of six games this season, showcasing his consistent ability to outperform expectations and he's the second of my NFL Picks for Thanksgiving.

Thursday Night Football Picks: Dallas Cowboys -11

🏈 Dallas Cowboys -11 (-115) at Draftkings

Playing against the Dallas defense means avoiding turnovers at all costs, as they lead the NFL with five defensive touchdowns.

Daron Bland added another pick-six to his tally last week against Bryce Young. Washington's recent game saw them commit six turnovers, a worrying sign given their upcoming game is on a short week and was against a subpar Giants defense.

Facing Dallas, one of the NFL's toughest defenses, poses a significant challenge for Sam Howell and his team.

In the last two encounters at Dallas, Washington suffered defeats with scores of 25-10 and 56-14, pointing towards another likely double-digit victory for the Cowboys against a weaker opponent.

The vulnerabilities of Washington's secondary further tilt the odds in favor of Dallas, especially with Dak Prescott's capability to exploit such weaknesses.

Dallas has been impeccable as a home favorite this season with a 4-0 record ATS, making them a confident pick for this matchup.
