One downside from the Houston Texans' 20-9 win over the New England Patriots was how top pick C.J. Stroud performed. The rookie QB completed just 2 of 4 passes for 13 yards, threw an interception and was also sacked once. Still, Houston was able to dominate the matchup due to the play of its other experienced quarterbacks.
Davis Mills and Case Keenum both have extensive starting experience in the NFL, and it showed against the Patriots. Mills completed 9 of 12 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown, while Keenum converted on 9 of 14 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. Houston's experience at quarterback is one of the reasons we like Texans -3 (-110) at BetMGM. If Stroud also shows any improvement, it would only bolster Houston's offense, but at least Mills or Keenum can be depended on late in these preseason games.

Miami actually outgained Atlanta 357-248, and the Dolphins averaged 5.9 yards per play. The ground game was efficient, with the Dolphins finishing with 168 yards on 26 carries, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt.
The lack of scoring was due to the Dolphins not finishing drives. Miami had a drive end at the Atlanta 9 due to an interception, and the Dolphins also turned it over on downs after making it to the Atlanta 6 and Atlanta 3. Moving the ball was not an issue for the Dolphin, and Skylar Thompson and Mike White weren't bad at quarterback, combining to convert on 19 of 30 passes for 149 yards but throwing three interceptions.
