Following our “best MLB bets today” throughout this week, you’ll find that we’ve hit this series hard.
That’s right, another Rockies vs. Rays prediction. The Rays dismantled the Rockies in the first game, and yesterday, it took ten innings, but the Rays won 6-5 but failed to cover the -1.5 run line.
The Rockies will send Peter Lambert to the mound against Rays pitcher Shawn Armstrong, and we're going to look to target Rays -1.5 (-115) at BetMGM.
Armstrong has 24 appearances on the year, with just four being starts. When he has started, he’s more of an opening pitcher. His last “start” came on August 12, and he threw just two innings.
He’s 0-0 on the year with a 1.00 ERA through 36 innings, striking out 41 batters.
For Lambert, the 26-year-old is 3-4 with a 5.02 ERA through 21 appearances and seven starts.
His starts are more legitimate, however. His last five appearances are all starts, and he’s pitched six innings or more three times. During that stretch, he’s allowed 13 earned runs.
Instead of MLB player props here, we’re sticking with what we’ve known all series—the Rays against the run line.

Texas Rangers vs. Minnesota Twins MLB Picks & Odds, 7:10 PM ET
⭐ Andrew Heaney Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+124) at FanDuel
Holding a slight lead in the AL West, this Rangers vs. Twins prediction could have massive implications on that division race.
However, we’re focusing on MLB player props here.
The target is Rangers starter Andrew Heaney. The 32-year-old is 9-6 on the year with a 4.27 ERA across 24 starts. He’s pitched 118 innings and has 122 strikeouts. His K/9 is 9.3, and he’s failed to hit five strikeouts in a game in four of his last five tries. The one start he did go beyond that, he had 11, which is a major outlier. We're going with Heaney Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+124) at FanDuel.
Thankfully for him, he’s playing the Twins, who strike out a league-leading 10.3 times per game and have 11.67 times over their past three.
This is a great opportunity to get some “+” line value.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Picks & Odds, 7:05 PM ET
⭐ Jose Berrios Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-170) at Caesars
For our Blue Jays vs. Orioles prediction, we’ll again focus on some MLB player props, attacking more over/under on strikeouts.
The Orioles beat up the Blue Jays yesterday 7-0; today, the Blue Jays send Jose Berrios to the mound.
Through 25 starts, Berrios is 9-8 with a 3.39 ERA. He has 140 strikeouts across 146 innings with a K/9 of just 8.6, and we're going with Berrios Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-170) at Caesars.
Over his last five starts, he’s had six or more strikeouts three times. His line today against the Orioles is just 4.5. Considering he averages 5.6 per start, this should be a fairly easy line to meet.
Despite the 7-0 loss, starter Kevin Gausman managed eight against them. The Orioles strike out 8.39 times per game.
The value isn’t the greatest, but this should be a safe wager for our best MLB bets today.

Against lefties this season, Bello has allowed ten home runs, 15 doubles, and a .288 batting average.
