MLS Picks: Cincinnati vs Columbus Predictions, Odds & Tips

⭐ MLS Best Bets #1: Both teams to score and Cincinnati to beat Columbus (+300) at DraftKings

Our MLS predictions today for these Conference Finals battles looks at the Supporters’ Shield winners getting to their first MLS Cup final in history.

It’s been a magical few years for Cincinnati since entering the MLS. It has already managed to win the Supporters’ Shield this season in convincing style, while it got to the semi-finals of the League Cup and the U.S. Open Cup this year too.

Across the regular season, Cincinnati lost only five games and it has defeated the New York Red Bulls twice in the Playoffs before a narrow win over the fourth-placed Eastern Conference team, Philadelphia Union, in the semi-finals.

Along this way, the Orange and Blue have managed to put together the second best defensive record in the regular season and they were only outscored by Atlanta United and this weekend's opposition, Columbus.

With that sensational goalscoring form of the Crew in mind and Cincinnati’s sensational run to the top of MLS, our MLS predictions today heads for a home win and both teams scoring.

Columbus racked up a stunning 67 goals from the 34 regular season games, while it has even managed to score eight goals in three matches during its series with Atlanta before winning 2-0 at Orlando City.

This makes the Crew the highest goalscoring team in North America in 2023, and by quite some margin. With this in mind, expect many goals in this game and for the Supporters’ Shield champions to head into the MLS Cup Final.

MLS Picks: Los Angeles vs Houston Predictions, Odds & Tips

⭐MLS Best Bets #2: LAFC to beat Houston and Denis Bouanga to score (+143) at FanDuel

Los Angeles FC is looking to put itself into the rare category of winning the MLS Cup in back-to-back years, something only D.C. United, LA Galaxy and ironically, Houston Dynamo have done so in MLS history.

Against the Dynamo, unlike in the other game, LAFC is the clear favorite. It finished third in the regular season's Western Conference by ending up only four points behind St. Louis City in first. It also put together an impressive goals difference tally of +15, which only St. Louis bettered.

Los Angeles met with Vancouver Whitecaps in a two-game series, beating it 5-2 in California before a 1-0 win in Canada. A clash with the runners-up of the Western Conference, Seattle Sounders, came next, in a game where the Sounders were favorites to win.

However, as the Black and Gold have done numerous times since coming into the MLS in 2018, they upset the odds and proved why they have been one of the best teams in North America within the past five seasons.

What’s more, Denis Bouanga got yet another goal that day in the 1-0 win, as he also scored three across the two games against Vancouver. Bouanga now has 20 goals in MLS this year and unless Lucas Acosta (Cincinnati) or Cucho Hernandez (Columbus) can score more than four goals, he will take home the top scorer award in 2023.

As there is a chance Houston gets a goal, given the lack of shutouts since the start of October for LAFC, we’re steering away from the Dynamo’s odds and looking at Bouanga getting another goal in the midst of his incredible season. Either way, we’d be shocked if the defending MLS Cup champions didn’t win here and make it to consecutive finals.
