Next, we have a 76ers vs. Raptors prediction involving Toronto’s Scottie Barnes. Barnes is off to a good start this season, scoring 20 or more points in his last four games. However, he didn’t meet this mark in the first game. In his career, Barnes has averaged 15.3 points per game before this season and shot 45.6% from the floor last season and 49.2% in his rookie year. This year, he’s up to 51.9%.
Admittedly, Barnes does have a good matchup here. The 76ers allow opposing small forwards to average 22.36 points per game, but again, Barnes has been playing better than we’re used to seeing. From three-point range, he shot 28.1% last year and 30.1% in his rookie year. That number has ballooned to 42.9% this season. We’ll take the side of variance here and expect his numbers to return to his averages for our second NBA Picks and Props bet.

With such a small slate, we’re returning to our initial Magic vs. Jazz prediction, looking at Clarkson. We took the over on his points and rebounds, and here, we’re going to add in the assists. As mentioned, he averaged 20.8 points and four rebounds per game last season. Well, he also had 4.4 assists. This season, he’s averaging a modest 13.6 points per game, five assists and 3.8 rebounds.
Against the Magic, we expect his points to be far above his 13.6 average. The Magic isn’t an easy matchup, but he should manage 18-20 here as that’s the type of player he’s been historically, and he’s had some down-shooting games. He has four rebounds in back-to-back games and six assists in those same games.
Here, we’re projecting a line of 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists for a total of 27 combined points, rebounds, and assists.
