Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers NFL Picks & Odds

The Green Bay Packers are coming off an improbably 18-17 win over the New Orleans Saints. Green Bay trailed 17-0 heading into the fourth quarter before rallying for one of the biggest comebacks of the season. Now, Green Bay will host the Detroit Lions, who are also 2-1, with the winner taking sole possession of the lead in the NFC North.

Green Bay had some early good news this week with starting running back Aaron Jones and starting wide receiver Christian Watson both expected to play against Detroit. Jones hasn't played since injuring his hamstring during the Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears, while Watson has yet to debut this season. Cornerback Jaire Alexander also practiced on Tuesday, which bodes well for his return after missing the Saints game.

The Packers have historically been good against the Lions at home, winning 27 of their last 30 games against Detroit at Lambeau Field. Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Week 4 Predictions

The Jacksonville Jaguars were on the wrong end of one of the bigger upsets in Week 3, losing to the Houston Texans 37-17 as 7.5-point favorites. Now, Jacksonville will attempt to bounce back against an Atlanta Falcons group that struggled on the road in their first away game, falling 20-6 to the Detroit Lions.

Atlanta quarterback Desmond Ridder has yet to prove he can perform or win on the road in the NFL. Sunday's loss put his road record as an NFL starting quarterback at 0-3 and he has yet to throw a touchdown in either of those games. It was also alarming how bad the Falcons' offensive line was against Detroit, allowing seven sacks.

Given Ridder's road struggles, we like the Jaguars to cover in this one.

Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills NFL Week 4 Predictions

The Miami Dolphins made history during the 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos, setting the record for most points by an NFL team in a game since 1966. Miami gained 726 yards of offense, averaging 10.2 yards per play and finished with 376 yards passing and 350 yards rushing to tally one of the greatest offensive games in recent NFL history.

Denver Broncos at Chicago Bears Week 4 NFL Picks & Odds

This. might be the game no one wants to watch. Denver just gave up the most points in an NFL game since 1966 by allowing the Miami Dolphins to put up 70 against the team, while the Bears trailed 34-0 at halftime to the Kansas City Chiefs before losing 41-10. The Bears have barely been competitive at all this season, losing by 18 to the Packers, 10 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the blowout loss to the Chiefs.

This could come down to whatever team is the least dysfunctional. Chicago has a myriad of issues between former defensive coordinator Alan Williams resigning abruptly last week, and quarterback Justin Field questioning the coaching. We're going to take Denver, but not feel great either way with a pick in this game.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns Week 4 NFL Picks

One of the upsets that flew under the radar with the Cowboys losing to the Cardinals and Jaguars falling to the Texans was the Baltimore Ravens getting upset by second-string quarterback Gardner Minshew and the Indianapolis Colts. Now, the Ravens will attempt to bounce back against the division rival Cleveland Browns, who handled the Titans 27-3 in their first game without running back Nick Chubb.

We're going to go with the Ravens in this one. Lamar Jackson looked like the true mobile threat last year, running for 101 yards to go with 202 yards passing. With Jackson as one of the elite dual-threat quarterbacks, the Ravens become one of the toughest teams to defend.

Since 2022, Baltimore also owns an 8-3 record against the spread while on the road, which is the best in the league. We like the Ravens to cover in this one, too.

We're going to take Pittsburgh's recent dominant defensive run against the Houston Texans. This could be a learning moment for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, going against Pittsburgh's experienced pass rush. With how Pittsburgh has turned over teams recently, it could be troublesome for Stroud and an offense in a new system under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans.

Bryce Young didn't play in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks due to an ankly injury, while the Panthres defense was torched 37 points and 425 yards.

The uncertainty over Young leads us to the Vikings and an experienced Kirk Cousins. Since Cousins came to Minnesota in 2018, the Vikings are 10-5-1 against the spread as road favorites, and we like that trend to continue against a struggling Panthers group.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts Week 4 NFL Picks

This matchup could come down to who starts at quarterback for the Colts and is worth monitoring through the week.

With Winston at quarterback, the Saints punted on their next four possessions and then missed what would have been the game-winning field goal.

Tampa Bay didn't have much going for it in the 25-11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but this is an ideal get-right spot for Tampa Bay if it ends up facing Winston. New Orleans offensive struggles were evident without Carr, and any bet on the Saints shouldn't be made unless it's clear Carr will be playing.

Philadelphia will now face a Commanders team that was blown out 37-3 by the Buffalo Bills.

We like the under in this matchup. Washington's struggling offense had just 230 yards against the Bills and committed five turnovers. Look for Philadelphia to control the clock on the ground while limiting Washington's scoring opportunities, which should lend this game to staying under the total.

The Bengals and Titans are two teams still struggling on offense. Tenneessee scored just three points in the loss to the Browns and had just 94 yards of offense. Ryan Tannehill has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league to start the season and has just 548 yards, one touchdown and three interpcetions in three games this season.

Meanwhile, Cincinnatti has struggled to start the season and the 19-16 win over the Rams on Monday night didn't do much to dispel the concerns about the offense. Joe Burrow threw for 259 yards but continues to nurse a calf injury that has hindered him early on this season. There was also the season-debut against the Browns where the Bengals scored just three points.

Considering each team's offensive struggles, we like the under in this one.

Given how strong the Chargers have been on offense this season, we're going to back Los Angeles. The Raiders struggled last week against Pittsburgh, taking four sacks and turning it over three times. Those type of mistakes can't be made against an offense as efficient as the Chargers.

Look for the Patriots to control the clock and lean on its defense, knowing it will unlikely be able to match Dallas' offensive firepower. The Patriots tried this against the Dolphins in Week 2 and it resulted in that game going under the total, finishing 24-17. We expect a similar score this week between the Patriots and Cowboys.

It's hard to see how Arizona can keep this one close. The 49ers are coming off an extended break after having played on Thursday in Week 3 against the New York Giants and have dominated the Steelers 30-7 and the Giants 30-12. If it wasn't for a meaningless, last-second field goal against the Rams, the 49ers would also be 3-0 against the spread to match their overall 3-0 record.

The chance for a letdown spot for the 49ers also went out the window with the Cardinals upsetting the Cowboys, putting the 49ers on full alert. San Francisco has already shut down two inexperienced quarterbacks this season and we expect more of the same when it goes against Arizona's Josh Dobbs.

This is a large spread, but given the offensive and defensive advantages, it's hard to see how Arizona keeps this close.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets Week 4 NFL Picks & Odds

The Zach Wilson run at quarterback is not going well once again for the New York Jets. Offensive players are getting into arguments on the sideline. Joe Namath is mentioning in the public how he's seen enough of Wilson. And the offense can't generate any sort of consistent production. The Jets managed just 171 yards in the loss to the Patriots, and Wilson took three sacks as the run game only generated 38 yards on 22 carries.

All of this is to say the Jets aren't in a place to compete with the defending Super Bowl champions. Since the Week 1 struggles to the Los Angeles Rams, the Seattle Seahawks have returned to the explosive unit many were projecting this season. Seattle upset the Lions in Detroit with a 37-31 overtime victory in Week 2 before following it up with another solid win, beating the Carolina Panthers 37-27 on Sunday. Geno Smith has played well for Seattle as of late, throwing for 328 yards against the Lions with two touchdowns and adding 296 yards and a score versus Carolina.

Besides the second half against the Cardinals, the Gaints have been pretty bad through three weeks. New York outscored the Cardinals 31-8 in the second half to record the comeback win but has been outscored 90-12 in the other five halves combined. It's just hard to want to back New York considering how bad the team has looked for the majority of the season.
