WNBA Best Bets Today: New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces

The Aces have been dominant this postseason, winning all five of their games after sweeping the Chicago Sky and Dallas Wings. But the Aces have failed to cover in their last two games, edging out the Wings 91-84 in Game 2 and a 64-61 victory in Game 3. We're going to continue to fade the Aces for Game 1 of the WNBA Finals.

We like Liberty +4.5 (-110) at BetMGM. New York has won three of the last four meetings against the Aces, including a dominant 82-63 win in Las Vegas on on Aug. 15.

We've seen New York beat Las Vegas in different ways, including holding Wilson to just nine points on two occasions, but we've also seen the Liberty go off from the perimeter, making 17 of 38 3s in a 99-61 win over Las Vegas. Given New York's ability to beat the Aces in different ways, we feel confident in taking the Liberty spread in Game 1.

WNBA Player Prop No. 1: A'ja Wilson Under 23.5 Points

⭐ A'ja Wilson Under 23.5 Points (-110) at bet365

If there's a team that's been able to limit Las Vegas' A'ja Wilson, it's the New York Liberty. We've been riding the over on Wilson's point prop this postseason and have profited with Wilson averaging 25.8 points per game in the playoffs. But we're going to go the other way on her prop in Game 1 against the Liberty.

We like A'ja Wilson Under 23.5 Points (-110) at bet365. In five games against the Liberty this season, Wilson has not scored more than 23 points in a game. Wilson has actually struggled against New York, being held to 16, nine and nine points in three games, while scoring 21 and 23 points in the other two contests against New York.

Wilson is also coming off the lowest-scoring game of the postseason for her, finishing with 13 points on 4 of 10 shooting in the low-scoring 64-61 closeout Game 3 win over the Dallas Wings. Given her history against the Liberty this season, we like the under on her point prop.

Recommended Bet: A'ja Wilson Under 23.5 Points (-110) at bet365

WNBA Best Prop No. 2: Jackie Young Over 16.5 Points

⭐ Jonquel Jones Over 11.5 Rebounds (-114) at FanDuel

If the Liberty are going to have success in the WNBA Finals against the Aces, former MVP forward Jonquel Jones will have to play well. With New York's Breanna Stewart and Las Vegas' A'Ja Wilson likely to defend each other on both ends of the floor, it will be down to Jones to dominate her matchup against Kia Stokes.

One area we are looking to back Jones is on the boards. We like Jonquel Jones Over 11.5 Rebounds (-114) at FanDuel. She's cleared this number in five of the Liberty's six postseason games this year. The only time she didn't get more than 11 rebounds is when she finished with 11 exactly, which was her lowest rebounding total so far in the playoffs.

Jones is averaging 12.8 rebounds per game in the playoffs. She's also had double-figure rebound totals in three of the last four games against the Aces.
