Ravens vs Bengals NFL Week 2 Preview

NFL

In NFL Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens will visit the Cincinnati Bengals in what promises to be an intriguing clash of AFC North rivals.

The Ravens emerged from Week 1 with a solid victory over the Houston Texans, where rookie receiver Zay Flowers shined. Drafted 23rd overall from Boston College, Flowers led the team with nine receptions for 78 yards.

Although Lamar Jackson had a modest outing, completing 17 of 22 passes for 169 yards, the team found success on the ground, with scores from J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill. However, Dobbins is now out for the season due to a torn Achilles.

The Bengals, meanwhile, are keen to put their lackluster Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Browns behind them. Quarterback Joe Burrow had a difficult game, completing only 14 of 31 passes for 82 yards, while receiver Ja’Marr Chase was limited to five catches for 39 yards.

Running back Joe Mixon was also stymied, gaining only 56 yards on 13 carries. Despite the offense's struggles, Cincinnati's defense was decent but will be tested against Baltimore's more dynamic offense.

The Bengals have a challenging schedule ahead, hosting the Rams next weekend followed by road games against the Titans and Cardinals. A win against the Ravens could provide much-needed momentum.

Ravens vs Bengals: Under 46 points (-110) at BetMGM

Given the struggles that Cincinnati's offense showed in Week 1, combined with Baltimore's ground-and-pound approach which tends to run the clock, the Under might be a good play here.

Both defenses look capable, and it may not be a high-scoring affair.

Cincinnati Bengals -3 (-110) at Draftkings

After a dismal Week 1 performance, the worst since Joe Burrow took the helm, the Bengals are offering bettors potential value in their upcoming face-off against the Ravens.

Considering Burrow's limited practice time during training camp and challenging weather conditions, Cincinnati's lackluster start was not entirely surprising.

Had the Bengals shown even moderate success in their opening game, odds for their next Sunday match against the Ravens would likely be set with a spread greater than just a field goal.

Cincinnati Bengals to win on the M/L (-170) at FanDuel

The Cincinnati Bengals aim to rebound after a lackluster Week 1 outing as they host the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Joe Burrow had a rough start, raising questions about his readiness following limited training camp practice.

Contrastingly, the Ravens enter Week 2 with momentum, largely thanks to their rookie receiver Zay Flowers and a solid ground game. While the Bengals' defense wasn't their downfall in Week 1, facing Baltimore's multifaceted offense presents a new set of challenges.

With Dobbins out for the Ravens, the Bengals could capitalize if their offense gets on track. Odds currently favor Baltimore, but Cincinnati offers intriguing value.
