How to Watch Steelers vs. Browns

  • Date: Sunday, November 19, 2023
  • Kick Off: 1:00 PM ET
  • Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium – Cleveland, OH
  • Where to Watch: CBS

It’s always tough to make NFL predictions for the divisional matchups, and this Steelers vs. Browns pick is no different. Despite missing their starting quarterback, the Browns are small home favorites to outlast the Steelers, who also have injury worries and could miss DT Cameron Heyward, S Keanu Neal, and S Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Rookie signal-caller Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the nod for the Browns. DTR will make his second start after a horrible performance in a 28-3 home defeat to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. Thompson-Robinson was tortured by the mighty Ravens defense, throwing for 121 yards and three interceptions, so keep this in mind when making your NFL predictions for Sunday

Last week, the Browns outlasted the Ravens 33-31 in what was Deshaun Watson’s final game of the season. Cleveland will continue to lean on its defense for the rest of its 2023 campaign and hope that Thompson-Robinson will improve. The Browns rank sixth in the league in scoring defense (18.9 points per game), first in passing yards allowed (151.1), and seventh in rushing yards (91.6).

The Steelers, who beat the Green Bay Packers 23-19 last week, own a top-notch defensive unit, too. They are 11th in scoring defense (20.2) and fourth in red-zone defense (40.7%). The Steelers allow their rivals to move the chains, but they are tough to score on and have already recorded 18 takeaways this season (tied-1st in the NFL).

Back in Week 2, Pittsburgh outlasted Cleveland 26-22 as a 2-point home dog. The Steelers were outgained by the Browns 408-255 in total yards but won the turnover battle 4-2. Hereof, we’ll kick off our NFL predictions with the Pittsburgh Steelers +1.5 (-110) at BetMGM. The Steelers are 4-1 SU and ATS in their last four meetings with the Browns.

⭐  NFL ATS Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +1.5 (-110) at BetMGM

Steelers vs. Browns Player Props & NFL Picks

⭐ NFL Player Prop #1: Jerome Ford Over 54.5 Rushing Yards (-110) at bet365

The Steelers allow 131.2 rushing yards per game (tied-24th) and 4.5 yards per carry (tied-26th). I’m expecting the Browns to pound the rock in this matchup and would start the Steelers vs. Browns player props with Jerome Ford Over 54.5 Rushing Yards (-110) at bet365

The Browns lost to the Steelers in Week 2 and also lost their superstar running back Nick Chubb (knee) for the season. Jerome Ford stepped up and rushed 16 times for 106 yards while catching three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh, so I’m expecting him to put on another strong performance versus the Steelers. Last week, Ford had 17 carries for 107 yards in that narrow victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

⭐ NFL Player Prop #2: Jaylen Warren Over 36.5 Rushing Yards (-110) at FanDuel

The Steelers’ ground game has exploded for 371 yards over the last two weeks. Pittsburgh racked up a staggering 205 rushing yards against Green Bay in Week 10, and Jaylen Warren led the way with 15 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Warren has become a vital part of the Steelers’ offense lately, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Two weeks ago, he posted 88 yards on just 11 totes in Pittsburgh’s 20-16 win over the Tennessee Titans. The Steelers don’t want to put the ball in Kenny Pickett’s hands a lot in the Browns game, so I’m taking Jaylen Warren Over 36.5 Rushing Yards (-110) at FanDuel for my next NFL pick.

⭐ NFL Player Prop #3: Dustin Hopkins Over 5.5 Kicking Points (-110) at DraftKings

As I’ve mentioned above, the Steelers’ red-zone defense is one of the best in the league. Hereof, I have to round up my NFL predictions with Dustin Hopkins Over 5.5 Kicking Points (-110) at DraftKings. With a rookie under center, I don’t think the Browns will take too many risks. Cleveland will lean on its kicker instead, and Hopkins lead the NFL in both FG attempts and FG made (24-for-27). He’s scored six or more points in five straight outings.
