New Mexico State vs. Louisiana Tech Odds, Picks & Predictions

⭐  Best Bet: New Mexico State moneyline (+120) at BetMGM

This feels like an instance where the wrong team is favored. Louisiana Tech is -2.5-point favorites against New Mexico State but the Bulldogs have lost four of their past five games and are just 3-5, while New Mexico State is 5-3 and 3-1 in Conference USA.

We're going with New Mexico State moneyline (+120) at BetMGM. The Aggies have won and covered in each of their past three games and have one of the better rushing attacks in the country, ranking second in the nation in yards per carry (6.1). New Mexico State also ranks 21st in yards per pass (8.7), and quarterback Diego Pavia is tied with the conference lead for most passing touchdowns with 16.

Louisiana Tech will likely go with Hank Bachmeier at quarterback. Bachmeier was injured earlier in the season but came back and took over for a struggling Jack Turner against Middle Tennessee State. Bachmeier completed 16 of 24 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown. Even with a boost from Bachmeier, it's likely not enough to make up for the Bulldogs' defensive issues. Louisiana Tech is 84th in scoring defense (28.4 points per game) and 119th in rushing yards allowed (200.3), which doesn't bode well for New Mexico State's rushing attack.

You can take the New Mexico State spread at +2.5 if you want a safety buffer, but we're confident in the Aggies getting this road win against a struggling Louisiana Tech team.

Best Bet: New Mexico State moneyline (+120) at BetMGM

Liberty vs. Western Kentucky Odds, Picks & Predictions

⭐ Liberty-Western Kentucky Over 61.5 (-112) at FanDuel

With Liberty's explosive offense and Western Kentucky's pass-dominant attack, the over is live between these two teams. Liberty ranks ninth in the country in points per game (36.3) and is second in rushing yards per game (274.6).

We're going with Liberty-Western Kentucky Over 61.5 (-112) at FanDuel. For as good as Liberty's offense has been this season, its defense was exposed against a bad Middle Tennessee team last week. Liberty gave up 35 points and 428 yards, including 332 passing yards and four touchdowns to Middle Tennessee State's Nicholas Vattiato. For perspective, Middle Tennessee State is 97th in scoring (22.1).

Now, the Flames have to face one of the most pass-heavy teams in the country. Western Kentuck ranks fourth in passes per game (43.7) and is 31st in passing yards per contest (275.3) and should be able to take advantage of a Liberty defense that was torched through the air.

But the Flames will have the decided run advantage against a weak Western Kentucky run defense. The Hilltoppers rank 127th in rushing yards allowed per game at 211.8 and sit 107th in yards allowed per carry (4.9).

Both offenses have decided advantages at what they do best and most often. Expect plenty of points in this one.

Best Betting Pick: Liberty-Western Kentucky Over 61.5 (-112) at FanDuel
