UFC Predictions & Dariush vs. Tsarukyan Prediction & UFC Odds

We’ve rounded up all the UFC odds from the best online betting sites and put together our UFC predictions for a stacked card back in Texas with a bunch of excellent fights to look forward to.

The card will be headlined by two lightweight contenders, as Beneil Dariush takes on Arman Tsarukiyan which could well see the next title contender at 155 lbs emerge.

However, one man is a clear favorite in this fight, and most of our UFC picks head towards a convincing win for Tsarukyan - he is +145 to get another KO/TKO on his record.

Let’s take a deeper look at our UFC predictions and our UFC best bets for this weekend.

Arman Tsarukyan Form Prior to UFC Fight Night

What a rise in MMA it has been for Tsarukyan, as he has rocketed himself into the top 10 of the lightweight rankings within just two years of being in the UFC.

The Armenian is now 27 and has had to fight some of the division's best fighters already. In fact, his only losses have been in a debut defeat to the current champion Islam Makhachev in 2019 before he lost to Mateusz Gamrot last year in a Fight of the Night battle.

Tsarukyan has, however, bounced back in style by beating Damir Ismagulov on points before a fantastic TKO win over Joaquim Silva earlier this year. It now puts the rising contender on a record of 20-3 at just 27 after registering eight KO/TKO wins, five victories by submission and the other seven on points.

In truth, given his age and the level of opposition he has faced so far, there is nothing to suggest he won’t be in the top five over the coming years, win or lose on Saturday night.

Beneil Dariush Form Prior to UFC Fight Night

It’s been a tough two years for Dariush.

A brutal injury to his ankle forced him out of a fight with Makhachev 18 months ago, forcing him back into action a few months later against Gamrot, which he won convincingly.

However, another layoff made him wait eight more months for a fight, only to be matched with the former lightweight king, Charles Oliveira, which he lost inside the first round.

All of this comes after putting together a very impressive eight-fight winning run, however, which moved him to within touching distance of a title shot.

On the other hand, a loss to Oliveira and a bunch of injuries all in his mid-thirties could be too much to handle, and in truth, a fight with a contender as fierce as Tsarukyan is the last thing he needs.

Dariush vs. Tsarukyan UFC Best Bets

We’ve put together the UFC Fight Night best bets and our UFC picks for this weekend from the best online betting sites for UFC odds.

UFC Best Bet #1: Arman Tsarukyan by KO/TKO (+145) at BetMGM

Sometimes in MMA, certain factors just point to a pretty nasty downfall, and it seems as if Dariush has too many of these right now.

A loss to Oliveira in the past year has been coupled with injuries in his 30s, while Dariush is also not exactly the most athletically gifted fighter out there.

In fact, he is significantly slower and less powerful than most in the top 10, and he has got by mainly on fight IQ and skill.

At the age of 34 and off the back of a tough run outside the cage, Tsarukyan will be fully aware that a KO/TKO could well be on the cards.

The 27-year-old now has eight wins in this manner, and he comes into the fight having secured three KO/TKOs within his past four victories.

Ultimately, the speed and power will be all too much for Dariush, just as it was against Oliveira.

⭐ UFC Picks: Arman Tsarukyan by KO/TKO (+145) at BetMGM

UFC Best Bet #2: Arman Tsarukyan to win and round 3 to start (-105) at FanDuel

As the UFC odds favor Tsarukyan, we’re heading for the slightly lower odds that covers a few areas in our UFC picks.

At UFC odds of -290 on the moneyline, Tsarukyan is the clear favorite. On the other hand, it is important we give credit to the durability of Dariush and his experience inside the cage.

Although we don’t expect the latter to win, Dariush’s ability to take shots and give it back should buy him a few rounds, while this could end up just being a Tsarukyan masterclass across five rounds and another points win.

⭐ UFC 293 Picks: Arman Tsarukyan to win and round 3 to start (-105) at FanDuel

UFC Best Bet #3: Beneil Dariush by submission (+1000) at DraftKings

At very high UFC odds of +1000 for Dariush to get a submission, we have to include this as part of our UFC predictions as a result.

It’s unlikely we see Tsarukyan wrap up a submission in this one, given the level of jiu-jitsu Dariush boasts of. The 34-year-old has been a black belt for a number of years and has won eight of his 22 victories via submission.

This is Dariush’s best route to a victory, despite the odds suggesting otherwise. We doubt he will outstrike or knock out Tsarukyan, so the Iranian should look for takedowns at any chance and hope to force his opponent into his ninth submission win.

Beneil Dariush vs Arman Tsarukyan Prediction & Final Thoughts

Although we do give credit to Dariush and his incredible career in the UFC, we’ve seen this story of an aging fighter struggling with injuries taking on a prospect far too often. In truth, most of the time, it only ends one way.

The injuries and recent loss Dariush has suffered at his age is too much when it comes to taking on a fighter in-form and at a much younger age where they are only getting better.

In reality, we will see Tsarukyan’s name in the top five of the lightweight rankings soon, regardless of a result here, as most above him in the rankings are into their 30s, while the Armenian continues to get better, stronger and wiser with each fight.

In fact, his only losses in the UFC have been to the current champion when he was just 23, and to Gamrot, who is vastly more experienced and also in the top six of the lightweight rankings.

Our UFC picks heads for a convincing win for Tsarukyan and for him to get another KO/TKO, although you can play it safer with round three to start and him to win the fight at -105 with FanDuel.
