Who Will Win America's Got Talent? Golden Buzzer Act Lights Up Episode 6

"America's Got Talent" returned on Tuesday night after a one-week break, and it was worth the wait.
The Macy's Fireworks Spectacular aired in AGT's time slot last week, and there were plenty more fireworks on display when the show returned.
Vocal Talent Lights Up Episode 6
Singer Lavender Darcangelo lit up Episode 6 with her incredible voice, which prompted judge Heidi Klum to press her Golden Buzzer and send the star straight through to the live shows.
Another vocal success on Tuesday night was the return of panelist Simon Cowell's voice, after he had to use a soundboard loaded with his favorite declarations in Episode 5.
The "America's Got Talent" wannabes need at least three yes votes from the four judges — Cowell, Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel — to progresses, but contestants are out of the series if they receive two or more red buzzers from the panelists.
But if any of the judges, or host Terry Crews, hit their Golden Buzzer, then the successful contestant is sent straight into the live shows.
Darcangelo became the fifth Golden Buzzer recipient of the season on Tuesday night, joining Mzansi Youth Choir, who received the show's first-ever Audience Golden Buzzer back in Episode 1, Putri Ariani, Chioma and The Atlanta Drum Academy, and Murmuration.
With these hypothetical odds provided by industry sports betting experts, we've looked into which remaining “America's Got Talent” contestants could have what it takes to be the show's Season 18 winner and land the $1 million prize.
Darcangelo In Contention For AGT Crown
Following Darcangelo's incredible rendition of "Out Here On My Own", the blind and autistic singer is now +300 joint second favorite to win this year's “America's Got Talent.”
Cowell praised her as "sensational" and said it was a "magical" audition, adding, "This is an audition I'll never forget. It was amazing."
Klum told Darcangelo she would love to be her "cheerleader" and hold her hand "all the way to the finish line" before pressing her Golden Buzzer and putting the star into the live shows.
Darcangelo broke down in tears, saying, ”I don't know if this is a dream or if I'm really awake."
Singer Putri Ariani, who is blind, and dance act Murmuration, are still the joint favorites to triumph in the competition at +250 in futures betting.
But Darcangelo is level in price with Chioma and The Atlanta Drum Academy, and ahead of Mzansi Youth Choir, who are +350.
And it wasn't just Darcangelo who impressed on Tuesday night's episode, as two other acts are also short prices to win this year's AGT.
Military choir 82nd Airborne Chorus sang "My Girl" in tribute to one of their late soldiers and others who have also fallen, and panelist Cowell described it was a "perfect tribute,” before adding, "Our audience absolutely loved you."
They are +400 joint fourth favorites with fellow Episode 6 debutants MOS, an all-female instrumental brass band from Japan.
Mandel praised them as “original,” and Cowell was pleasantly surprised by their audition.
He told MOS, "Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine a girl group to come on and play that song with those instruments."
MOS and 82nd Airborne Chorus are also level in price with Adrian Stoica and his dog, Hurricane, who are +400 after wowing in Episode 5.
They are narrowly ahead of ventriloquist Brynn Cummings, dancer Alexandr Leshchenko and 10-year-old magician Ryland Petty, who are all +450 chances.
Duo Put 'Everything On The Line' In Audition
Aerial acrobats Duo Desire, made up of married couple Denis Bazhenov and Jilliana Sophia Bazhenova, were praised by Vergara for a "sexy" performance, the panelist is eager to see more of them.
She will certainly see them in the next round after they received four yeses, with Cowell commending the +500 pair for "putting everything on the line.”
They are level in the betting with fellow acrobat Chen Lei, as well as vocal group Freedom Singers — who impressed in Episode 4 — head balancing duo Ramadhani Brothers and stand-up comedian Ahren Belisle.
Acrobatic group Warrior Squad, aspiring Broadway singer D'Corey Johnson, dancer Eseniia Mikheeva and singer Dani Kerr are at +550, while several wannabes are +600, including singer Roland Abante, Sainted Trap Choir, hula hooper Grace Good and sword sallower Herwan Legaillard.
Pole dancer El Invertebrado remains +650, despite being described as "creepy" by Cowell in Episode 4, but the panelist was a big fan of a new dancer in Tuesday night's sixth episode.
Mariandrea, a 14-year-old dancer from Mexico, was praised as "unbelievably talented" by Cowell, while Mandel said it was like "magic" watching her on stage.
Singer Trent Toney, also +650, received both four yeses from the judges and a rejection for his performance.
The panelists were full of praise for "brave" Toney's audition, in which he performed his original song "Always and Lately" to his ex over the phone.
And while he progressed to the next round, his romantic intentions were not reciprocated, as a card explained the two are still not together.
Despite the snub, Toney is still in a better position than Episode 5 stars Sharpe Family Singers to win this year's AGT, according to the betting market.
The singers remain at +700 in the futures betting, alongside magicians Anna DeGuzman and Trigg Watson.
Several wannabes are priced at +750, including Ninah Sampaio — who performed Pink’s song "Try" while solving a Rubik's Cube in Episode 4 — heavy metal group Steel Panther, dancer Lambros Garcia and country singer Mitch Rossell.
What's more, comedians Barry Brewer Jr., Maureen Langan and Orlando Leyba are +800, the same price as YouTube singing sensation Alfie Andrew.
Puppet Simon Fails To Impress
At the other end of the betting, there is a new act propping up the market in the shape of Puppet Simon and The Cow Belles.
The puppet act failed to impress Vergara, who buzzed their initial performance of “Toxic,” only for Puppet Simon, who is a comical take of Cowell, to perform "Somebody To Love.”
After Vergara insisted the act didn't "belong on AGT,” Puppet Simon jokingly hit back, "You're fired,” which amused real AGT executive producer and her fellow panelist Cowell.
He was joined by Mandel and Klum in putting the puppet act through, but they are +1800 to win the season, behind danger act Ray Wold (+1600), hand percussionist Riccardo Pace (+1500) and a hat-trick of +1400 chances in dinosaur costume-wearing acrobat Trex Flips, danger act Thomas Vu and Ukrainian acrobatic trio Three G.
Another act that Cowell enjoyed was sword-swallower Andrew Stanton, who is no stranger to the “Got Talent” franchise after he reached the semi-finals of “Britain's Got Talent” Series 16 earlier this year.
He received a mixed reaction from the judges, with Cowell enjoying it, but Mandel didn't, and Vergara said it was "disturbing and fun at the same time.”
Stanton is now +1100 to win AGT, the same price as shadow artist Shadow Ace. Both are ahead of country singing duo Trailer Flowers (+1200) and magicians Mandy Muden (+1200) and Artem Shchukin (+1300), who made his debut in Episode 6 and was described as "magical" by Cowell.
Elsewhere, a hat-trick of dance acts had their auditions shown in a montage on Tuesday night's episode.
Dancer 40 Pounds, dance trio Let It Happen and dance group The Zoo are +850 after progressing, even though they weren't given full audition airings.
They are level in price with violinist Philip Bowen and guitarist John Wines, but the quintet is ahead of tap dancer Justin Jackson, Episode 5 singing sensation Lachuné and TikTok star Zoe Erianna, who are +900.
Dance group Avantgardey, and viral dancer Erica Coffelt are +1000, while magician Sangsoon Kim is the same price.
Next week, the seventh round of auditions will take place as more AGT wannabes battle it out for a place in the next round.
