USPGA Championship Each-Way Tips: The Panel's Five Selections From Quail Hollow

The second major of the year takes place at Quail Hollow this week and The Panel have been trawling through the best golf betting sites to pick out a few USPGA Championship each-way tips.
Rory McIlroy is their headline selection to land this major for a third time, having won the Wells Fargo Championship on this course on four occasions, including the one 12 months ago.
However, UK bookmakers are offering up to 12 places this week and with a quality field here in Charlotte, North Carolina, that means many of the players are triple-figure prices.
With that in mind, here are three USPGA Championship longshots that could cause a surprise this week and a couple of players in the top 20/30 markets.

USPGA Championship Each-Way Tips: Mitchell The Man
Keith Mitchell has won just once on the PGA Tour (the old Honda Classic in 2019) and his major record is nothing to write home about, but this could be the week all that changes.
The American has been in great nick in the last couple of months, posting four successive top-20s, including a runners-up spot in a weakened field at the Corales Puntacana Championship which ran in the same week as The Heritage.
Last week, Mitchell was seventh at the Truist Championship, a Signature Event like the one at Harbour Town, where his numbers were positive in all the major Strokes Gained categories.
Mitchell is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour and significantly he ranks fifth in the SG: Off-the-Tee standings which will be a big plus this week.
Furthermore, Mitchell has also been very strong from tee to green (21st), so there is a lot to like about his prospects.
Mitchell finished eighth and third in two of his last three visits to Quail Hollow and he looks a livewire at 100/1 with betting sites as the first of this week’s USPGA Championship longshots.

USPGA Championship Each-Way Selections: Corey Streets Ahead
Yes, we know, it’s getting boring seeing Corey Conners’ name appearing as one of The Panel’s selections seemingly every week, but as long as he continues to play well, he will feature as a potential winner at a big price.
Since turning pro, the Canadian has entered the winner’s circle twice on the PGA Tour, both times at the Texas Open, but his consistency in the last couple of years has seen him move to within touching distance of the world’s top 20.
Conners has missed the cut just once in his last 42 tournaments and although he may not be able to match the likes of McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau for power, his tee-to-green numbers are excellent.
He is inside the top 20 for Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee and he has finished eighth and 13th at Quail Hollow in the last couple of years.
Conners’ last four USPGA appearances are respectable 17-MC-12-26 and he has been inside the top 10 in four of the last six US Masters, so his major form is decent.
He may not win this week, but he knows the course well and is well priced at 55/1 with Bet365, which is offering eight places.
USPGA Championship Each-Way Prediction 2: Corey Conners (Each-Way) - 55/1 With Bet365 (Eight Places)

USPGA Championship EW Tips: English Can Pass Charlotte Exam
Harris English may not be a household name, but he won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in January and his recent record in majors has been encouraging.
The 35-year-old American finished 12th at the US Masters and he made the cut in all four majors in 2024.
English also has a decent record at Quail Hollow where he has played at the weekend in all six previous visits, finishing third behind winner Wyndham Clark and Xander Schauffele two years ago.
The Georgian native may not be the longest on the PGA Tour, but his tee shots still carry in excess of 300 yards and his putting stats have been very good this year and at Quail Hollow in the past.
Tee to green, English could be a lot better, but as long as he misses in the right spots, he stands a chance on a course where he has played well before.
Harris has finished inside the top 20 in three of his last four tournaments and although victory is likely to be beyond him, he looks an interesting prospect at 150/1 with Bet365.
USPGA Championship Each-Way Prediction 3: Harris English (Each-Way) - 150/1 With Bet365 (Eight Places)

USPGA Championship Top 20 Tips: Woodland A Natural Wonder
One player who does not hold back off the tee is Gary Woodland, who underwent brain surgery to remove a tumour in September 2023.
The 2019 US Open champion still takes medication, but generally his health is good enough for him to compete on the PGA Tour and in majors.
Woodland finished just a shot behind winner Min Woo Lee at the Houston Open in March and he has made the cut in five successive tournaments.
He was also inside the top 20 in his last three appearances at Quail Hollow, including fifth place in 2021 when he finished just three shots behind champion Rory McIlroy.
Woodland can be backed at 6/1 for a top-20 finish with SpreadEx, something he has achieved on three occasions in 13 attempts at the USPGA Championship.
USPGA Championship Prediction 4: Gary Woodland Top 20 - 6/1 With SpreadEx
USPGA Championship Top 30 Tips: Hop On Hoey
Rico Hoey is playing in only his second major and is making his debut at Quail Hollow, so the odds are clearly stacked against the American-Filipino, who is 300/1 with betting apps to win this week.
However, his recent form has been excellent and seventh spot at last week’s Myrtle Beach Classic saw him edge towards breaking into the world’s top 100.
Hoey has been superb from tee to green this season which has yielded three top-20 spots in his last five outings.
His putting needs to improve, but everything else seems in working order and a top-30 finishing does not look beyond him at 15/4.
USPGA Championship Prediction 5: Rico Hoey Top 30 - 15/4 With Bet365
