NHL Picks: Philadelphia vs. Buffalo Odds & NHL Predictions

⭐ Buffalo Moneyline (-178) at Caesars

The Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres did play earlier in the week. A bettor is not seeing things. However, there are a few question marks for this game. One is from Philadelphia. Carter Hart was injured earlier in the week. The Flyers’ goaltender was questionable at press time for the rematch against Buffalo. Devon Levi of the Sabres was good enough to back up in goal on Wednesday. He is projected to start on Friday.

What are some of the better NHL Picks we can make for a game with this much uncertainty? That’s an excellent question. While some just skip this type of contest? We dive head-first into this tilt. Buffalo delivered a 5-2 win on Wednesday night, as the Over did end up in the win column along with the Sabres. Defensively, the Flyers allow 26.8 shots per game, which is third lowest in the league. Despite this, they give up 3.3 goals a night (22nd in the NHL).

With the Flyers starting to regress to what most pundits expected, Buffalo has a chance to win again on Friday night. However, watch to see who starts for each team, just in case. Last year, the Flyers did not lose more than 2+ goal games like the St. Louis Blues. On the other hand, there were stretches where that felt like a fact. Taking the Buffalo moneyline is among our NHL best bets  on Friday night.

Now, the Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres offer a few more options that may be explored further below. However, again, that moneyline is worth a small and safe wager.

⭐ Recommended Bet:  Buffalo Moneyline (-178) at Caesars

NHL Picks: New Jersey vs. St. Louis Odds & NHL Predictions

St. Louis Moneyline (+135) at Caesars

New Jersey and St. Louis are the second and final game on Friday night as two teams who are headed in opposite directions in terms of season prospects. From a game-by-game perspective, New Jersey comes in as the non-rested team on an extended road trip. The Devils’ next home game is not until next weekend.

One of the easiest free NHL picks with New Jersey has been the Over and even the Team Total. Again, the Devils are now 9-for-9 when it comes to that Game Total tipping to the side of the Over. On Thursday night, New Jersey and Minnesota combined for eight goals as the Devils won by a score of 5-3. Now comes the hard part for New Jersey. Do it again on Friday night.

Another one of the NHL picks we made on Thursday night late was punching the Over between New Jersey and Minnesota to 7.5. It was a risk, but wagering $5-$10 in that spot would not damage the bankroll. However, St. Louis represents a considerable challenge.

New Jersey vs. St. Louis predictions grow antsy regarding this game. The Devils have lost 14 of their past 17 meetings versus the Blues. Worse, this includes four shutouts and a half dozen games where the Blues won by two or more goals. Then, there is the following. St. Louis has lost four games in regulation, all by greater than the 1.5-goal puckline.

St. Louis, by contrast, is an eye-popping 1-6-1 on the Under side. What does a bettor do in this case? One might hedge, which may be an option as game time approaches. The 8:00 p.m. ET start helps. There is a crazy odds boost from Caesars with an exact score of 5-2 St. Louis at a whopping +2300.

Simply, with so many diverging numbers, take what works.

⭐ Recommended Bet: St. Louis Moneyline (+135) at Caesars

NHL Picks: More Philadelphia vs. Buffalo Odds & NHL Predictions

⭐ Buffalo Team Total Over 3.5 Goals (-128) at FanDuel

Philadelphia and Buffalo are playing on the back end of a home and home on Friday night from Buffalo. Yes, there are a lot of question marks that we addressed above. However, if a bettor is willing to toss out a few more Friday night hockey predictions out there, what would they be?

Some solid NHL Picks on Friday night may include Buffalo’s Team Total of 3.5 goals (Over is -128 on FanDuel. If Carter Hart cannot go, that number may plummet a good deal, as Sam Ersson gave up a ton of goals in a 7-4 loss to Anaheim recently.

Hey, player props need some mentions as well. While the Puckline for Buffalo hovers around +130, the Tage Thompson anytime goal is sadly -110. However, a Travis Konecny goal is now +150 from Philadelphia, and Bobby Brink is now at +300. It is okay to look at some longer shots as a higher-goal total output is expected. Take the Buffalo Team Total Over, and do not look back.

⭐ Best NHL Bet: Buffalo Team Total Over 3.5 Goals (-128) at FanDuel

NHL Picks: More New Jersey vs. St. Louis Odds and NHL Predictions

⭐ Tyler Toffoli Over 0.5 Powerplay Points (+165) at DraftKings

New Jersey and St. Louis get some spotlight because two of the leading scorers in the lead will be playing in St. Louis. Jack Hughes has scored 20 points, while Jesper Bratt has 18 for the Devils.

Among our New Jersey vs. St. Louis, predictions have to be the St. Louis Team Total of 3.5 goals at +140 on DraftKings. New Jersey is at -121 via Caesars for the same wager. Also, do not forget that the Devils’ power play (after a 3-for-5 performance in Minnesota) is a scorching 44.7% on the season. It is early, but Tyler Toffoli gets top powerplay exposure, and the Over of 0.5 Powerplay points is +165 on DraftKings.

⭐ Best NHL Bet:  Tyler Toffoli Over 0.5 Powerplay Points (+165) at DraftKings
