Caesars Palace Michigan Ushers AvatarUX Into the U.S. Market

Premier iGaming software provider AvatarUX arrives in the Great Lakes State via an exclusive partnership with Caesars Palace Online Casino. Michigan is the first entry point into the highly regulated U.S. iGaming market for the game studio responsible for creating intriguing slot games. The first slot from the AvatarUX portfolio to secure a spot in the Caesars Palace Online lobby is KokeshiPop, a game incorporating the developer's popular PopWins mechanic.

Chief iGaming officer at Caesars Digital, Matthew Sunderland, expressed satisfaction with being the first U.S. operator to introduce players to AvatarUX gaming content, highlighting that the launch of KokeshiPop aligns with their mission of providing innovative and fresh content to Caesars' players.

After the initial launch, additional titles are slated to appear in lobbies of other top-tier Michigan casinos online and across other U.S. markets. According to the official announcement from AvatarUX, the Wolverine State is the foothold, but the push for further expansion into North American markets will continue. AvatarUX has found an ally for implementing that strategy in another popular software vendor, Light & Wonder. Both developers have a distribution agreement and have collaborated closely for several years.

AvatarUX PopWins Mechanic

The action in KokeshiPop takes place on five reels and three rows with 486 ways to win and a max win of 10.000x. It's a medium volatility game with an RTP of 96.1%, accepting stakes ranging from $0.20 to $50 per spin. Thematically, inspiration is borrowed from Japanese culture, more precisely, Kokeshi dolls.

At the core of the game is the PopWins mechanic, and that feature makes it unique. This mechanic functions by removing winning symbols and replacing each symbol with two new symbols. PopWins will continue replacing winning symbols until new wins are no longer occurring.

KokeshiPop is probably the 15th slot produced by AvatarUX and shows many refinements compared to previous games from this developer,  especially in the artwork department. AvatarUX has used KokeshiPop as its trump card for entering the mainstream online casino scene.

Caesars Plans to Launch New Online Casino in Michigan

Caesars operates two online casinos in Michigan, a standalone app, Caesars Palace, and the casino section integrated into the Caesars Sportsbook and Casino. However, Caesars' appetites are not satiated, and the recent purchase of WynnBET's license opens the door for introducing a new operator.

The president of Caesars Sports and Online Gaming, Eric Hession, recently announced during an investor call that they plan to launch a unique brand across all their markets towards the end of 2024. No additional details about the new brand have been revealed, such as its name or official launch date.

The reason for introducing a new brand is to provide variety for customers who might want a different experience, according to Hession. Caesars constantly expands its iGaming division in Wolverine State, acquiring new games and Michigan online casino promotions. In 2023, the casino took in $87 million in online casino revenue, a 32.1% rise over 2022. Caesars will work to start closing in on the leading trio of operators BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings in 2024.
