Rams vs. Bengals Betting Trends & NFL Week 3 Predictions

How to Watch Rams vs. Bengals

  • Date: Monday, September 25, 2023
  • Kick Off: 8:15 PM ET
  • Location: Paycor Stadium – Cincinnati, OH
  • Where to Watch: ESPN/NBC

The Bengals are already in a tough situation. Not only they are off to a 0-2 start, but the Bengals’ superstar QB Joe Burrow is struggling with a calf injury. Burrow reportedly took first-team reps during Sunday’s walkthrough but remains a game-time decision for Monday’s clash against the Rams. If Burrow doesn’t suit up, rookie Jake Browning will get his first NFL start.

Cincinnati followed a heavy Week 1 loss at the Cleveland Browns 24-3 with a 27-24 home defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals have only covered once in their last six games overall and are 0-3 ATS in their previous three outings at home, but they’ve beaten the number in five of their last six encounters with the NFC. Anyway, Joe Burrow’s status remains a key factor in any Rams vs. Bengals prediction

Key Players Missing: QB Joe Burrow (questionable, calf), TE Irv Smith (doubtful, hamstring)

After a surprising 30-13 victory at the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1, the Rams fought bravely against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday but ultimately suffered a 30-23 loss at home. At least, the Rams covered a 7.5-point spread, and rookie wideout Puka Nacua led the charge with 15 catches for 147 yards. Matthew Stafford went 34-of-55 for 307 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, while Kyren Williams had 14 carries for 52 yards and a TD.

The Rams have covered the spread in six of their last eight games overall. They are only 2-5-1 ATS in their previous eight outings away from home, and the total has one under in six of those eight contests along with a push.

Key Players Missing: WR Puka Nacua (probable, oblique)

Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals Odds, NFL Picks & NFL Best Bets

Keep tracking the injury report because of Joe Burrow’s injury. As I’ve already mentioned, it’s hard to make the Rams vs. Bengals prediction and lay the odds when you don’t know whether one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will be on the field. If you like betting on the NFL player props, keep your eyes on Joe Mixon, who’ll lead the way for the Bengals’ backfield. The Rams are yielding 5.3 yards per carry in 2023.

Betting Trends:

  • Rams: 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight road games
  • Bengals: 5-1 ATS in the last six tilts vs. NFC
  • Over/Under: The under is 6-1-1 in LA’s last eight road games

Cincinnati Bengals -1.5 (-110) at BetMGM

I’m expecting Cincinnati to dominate Los Angeles by the line of scrimmage, so I’m taking the hosts to cover (-110) at BetMGM as one of my Rams vs. Bengals picks. The Bengals must be fired up to get revenge for a 23-20 loss in the Super Bowl LVI. Hopefully, Joe Burrow will give it a go, and the Bengals’ defense will slow down the Rams’ passing offense. Cincinnati is yielding just 190.5 passing yards per game this season.

Under 43.0 Points (-110) at Caesars

The Rams are allowing only 150.5 passing yards per game in 2023. But they are giving up 122.0 rushing yards per contest and 5.3 yards per carry, so the Bengals will lean on their ground game in this clash. On the other side, the Bengals are surrendering a whopping 192.0 rushing yards per game, but keep in mind that they’ve played Cleveland and Baltimore thus far. The Rams will struggle to take full advantage of the Bengals’ run D. Kyre Williams has already scored three rushing touchdowns, but he’s averaging just 3.6 yards per carry. When it comes to the totals, Under 43.0 points (-110) at Caesars is my Rams vs. Bengals prediction.

Joe Mixon Over 58.5 Rushing Yards (-112) at FanDuel

I love Joe Mixon in this duel. He’s amassed just 115 rushing yards through the first two weeks, but Mixon has averaged 4.4 yards per carry. Given Joe Burrow’s injury problem, the Bengals have to give Mixon a long leash, so I’m backing him to rack up more than 58 rushing yards at -112 odds at FanDuel
