New England Patriots vs. New York Jets Week 3 NFL Picks

It wasn't an ideal showing for Zach Wilson's first start of the 2023-24 NFL season. The New York Jets quarterback completed just 12 of 27 passes for 170 yards and threw three interceptions in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys where New York really wasn't competitive. It's fair to wonder how many more of those types of performances the Jets can have from Wilson before they consider a change at quarterback.

Given the Jets quarterback issues, we're going with the Patriots here. New England hasn't started 0-3 under Bill Belichick since his first season in 2000. New England has also won 14 straight games against the Jets. Look for the Patriots to end their early losing skid against a struggling Wilson.

⭐ My Best Bet: Patriots -2.5 (-110) at BetMGM

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets Week 3 NFL Picks

⭐ Under 36.5 (-110) at FanDuel

With two defensive-minded teams and two struggling offenses, we're going to look to hit the under in the Week 3 NFL matchup between the New England Patriots and New York Jets. We mentioned Wilson's struggles against the Cowboys, throwing three interceptions and having just 170 yards passing, but the Patriots have had their own offensive struggles of their own.

We like the under of 36.5 (-110) at FanDuel. The Patriots surrendered four sacks in the 24-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 and had just 288 yards of offense and were not able to run the ball, gaining just 88 yards rushing. New York's defensive front is better than Miami's so it's difficult to envision the Patriots having more success on the ground

With how Wilson has struggled and the Patriots' inability to run the ball or protect Mac Jones, we like the under in this game.

⭐ Best Betting Pick: Under 36.5 (-110) at FanDuel
