The San Francisco 49ers have appeared as one of the top early dominant teams in the NFL. San Francisco earned a 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 after demolishing the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-7 in the first week of the season. It has not gone as smoothly for the New York Giants who were blown out 40-0 in Week 1 by the Dallas Cowboys and then had to rally from down 20-0 to top the Arizona Cardinals 31-28.

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers NFL Week 3 Predictions

New Orleans has found an early identity with one of the top defenses in the league, paired with a solid run game between the tackles. Green Bay is coming off a 25-24 los to the Atlanta Falcons where the Packers blew a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens NFL Week 3 Predictions

It would be hard to want to place a bet on the Indianapolis Colts with the health of quarterback Anthony Richardson still uncertain. Richardson played just over a quarter before leaving the game due to a concussion. He scored two rushing touchdowns before exiting the game and having Gardner Minshew take over. The Colts were still able to defeat the Houston Texans 31-20.

The Baltimore Ravens are 2-0 after handling the Texans in Week 1 and upsetting the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24 in Week 2. The only play right now is on the Ravens considering the uncertainty around Richardson and the Colts quarterback situation.

Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns NFL Picks & Odds

The Cleveland Browns suffered one of the biggest injury setbacks in Week 2 when running back Nick Chubb took a hit to his knee and was carted off the field. Given the severity of the hit, it wouldn't be surprising for Chubb to miss the rest of the season. Cleveland's offense struggled down the stretch in the 26-22 loss to Pittsburgh without him.

Meanwhile, Tennessee's offense got rolling in the 27-24 overtime win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Ryan Tannehill threw for 246 yards and a touchdown, while Derrick Henry added 80 yards rushing and a touchdown of his own. The absence of Chubb could play a part in this one as Cleveland adjusts and gives more offensive responsibility to quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins Week 3 NFL Picks

With new coach Sean Payton, the Broncos have yet to see any different results from last season. Denver is 0-2 with the latest defeat coming in a 35-33 loss to the Washington Commanders where the Broncos held a 21-3 lead at one point. Now, they'll face a Miami team that's 2-0 after impressive wins over the Chargers and New England Patriots.

Miami has shown it can win in versatile ways. The Dolphins won a shootout over the Chargers, 36-34, with Tua Tagovailoa passing for 466 yards and then defeated the Patriots 24-17 thanks to its pass rush that recorded four sacks and numerous pressures in the win. Given how dominant Miami has been on both sides of the ball at times this year, we're backing the Dolphins.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets Week 3 NFL Picks

It wasn't an ideal showing for Zach Wilson's first start of the 2023-24 NFL season. The New York Jets quarterback completed just 12 of 27 passes for 170 yards and threw three interceptions in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys where New York really wasn't competitive. It's fair to wonder how many more of those types of performances the Jets can have from Wilson before they consider a change at quarterback.

Given the Jets quarterback issues, we're going with the Patriots here. New England hasn't started 0-3 under Bill Belichick since his first season in 2000. New England has also won 14 straight games against the Jets. Look for the Patriots to end their early losing skid against a struggling Wilson.

The Buffalo Bills redeemed themselves from the Week 1 loss to the New York Jets and looked like the Super Bowl contender they were expected to be in the 38-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Josh Allen completed 31 of 37 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns, while James Cook ran for 123 yards rushing. It was a dominant showing from one of the Super Bowl favorites.

Washington earned a comeback win over the Denver Broncos. After trailing 21-3, the Commanders rallied for the 35-33 win and are now 2-0 under second-year quarterback Sam Howell. Despite Washington's good start, a Bills team that's rolling is a step above them right now, so we prefer to back Buffalo for our NFL Week 3 predictions.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions Week 3 NFL Picks

The Atlanta Falcons overcame a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Packers 25-24. Much of Atlanta's success came on the ground with the Falcons gaining 211 yards rushing on 4.7 yards per attempt. We expect Detroit's defense to mitigate Atlanta's rushing attack with the Lions holding the Seahawks to 82 yards rushing and 3.3 per attempt.

Expect Atlanta to struggle in its first road game of the season with Desmond Ridder yet showing he can perform well on the road against a solid team.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Week 3 NFL Picks

The Houston Texans are 0-2 and have yet to cover a game this season, but we still feel this is too many points to give up against a Jacksonville team that struggled on offense just last week to the Kansas City Chiefs. Jacksonville gained just 271 yards, took four sacks and managed just nine points against the Chiefs. With a spread close to double digits, we like the Texans here.

Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud showed why he was drafted so high in this year's draft, completing 30 of 47 passes for 384 yards and two touchdowns. Another factor to consider is if Stroud can put up these type of numbers, he could lead the Texans to a backdoor cover on a late, meaningless touchdown drive, which is a plus when taking a spread this large.

The Los Angeles Chargers have the strange distinction of never turning the ball over and scoring 60 points in two games and still being 0-2. The offense isn't the problem for Los Angeles, with the team putting up 433 yards of offense in the Week 1 loss to the Dolphins and Justin Herbert passing for 305 yards and two touchdowns in the overtime defeat to the Tennessee Titans.

The Minnesota Vikings were gashed on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, surrendering 430 yards of offense, including 259 yards on the ground with Philadelphia averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins also went off with 364 yards passing and four touchdowns.

Given how strong both offenses looked last week, we're going to go with the over, even with it set at the highest total of the season so far.

Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle Seahawks Week 3 NFL Picks

The Seattle Seahawks earned an upset win over the Detroit Lions with a 37-31 overtime victory. Seattle quarterback Geno Smith excelled in the win over the Lions. completing 32 of 41 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns For Carolina, they've had nowhere near that level of offensive success this year, scoring just 10 and 17 points in the first two weeks.

It's hard to suggest a bet on the Panthers when they struggle to move the ball fo the majority of the game. If it wasn't for a late-touchdown drive against the Saints when New Orleans was playing prevent defense, the stats would have been even worse for Carolina. Still, Carolina rookie quarterback Bryce Young has yet to find his footing as an NFL quarterback, throwing for just 153 yards against New Orleans and 146 versus the Falcons.

Few teams have been more impressive than the Dallas Cowboys, who defeated the New York Giants 40-0 in Week 1 and then trounced the New York Jets 30-10 on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals blew a 20-0 halftime lead and lost 31-28 to the New York Giants. For a team that was projected to contend for the No. 1 pick, the Cardinals blew what may be one of their few chances to get a win this season.

Arizona almost certainly won't win against a vaunted Dallas team that shut out New York and allowed just 10 points to the Jets. Dallas recorded three sacks against the Jets and forced four turnovers and managed to sack the Giants seven times while forcing three turnovers. Dallas' pass rush should wreak havoc on Arizona once again.

Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs Week 3 NFL Picks

There's just no reason to bet on the Chicago Bears at this point. The Bears have not won a game since October 24, losing their last 12 games after a 27-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. Chicago now has to go on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs who will be looking to put forth a better performance at home after losing to the Lions in Arrowhead Stadium in Week 1.

The Chiefs are still working to get its offense going, but the defense showed up in the 17-9 Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. At some point, the Super Bowl champs will put it together and this seems like a get right spot for the Chiefs.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Week 3 NFL Picks & Odds

The Las Vegas Raiders are favored in the Sunday Night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but we prefer to go with the underdog in this one. Las Vegas' offense has struggled in both games this season, scoring just 17 and 10 points in each contest and was just blown out 38-10 on the road against the Buffalo Bills.

Las Vegas quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo struggled, completing 16 of 24 passes for 185 yards and just one touchdown to two interceptions. The run game has also been absent for the Raiders with the team gaining just 61 yards and averaging 2.1 yards per carry versus Denver only 55 yards while averaging 3.7 against Buffalo.

After getting blasted 30-7 by the 49ers in Week 1, the Steelers bounced back with a 26-22 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday. Pittsburgh benefitted from two defensive touchdowns and recorded six sacks. Given Las Vegas' offensive struggles, we're going with the chaotic Pittsburgh defense.

Philadelphia discovered an offensive flow in the win over the Vikings with the team gaining 259 yards rushing and Jalen Hurts throwing for 193 yards and a touchdown while also adding two scores on the ground.

Tampa Bay has started the season 2-0 with wins over the Vikings and Bears, but this should be a step up in competition facing a team of the Eagles pedigree, and we prefer to trust Philadelphia in this spot.

Quarterback Joe Burrow has been nursing a calf injury throughout the preseason and has yet to look like the player he was two years ago, throwing for just 304 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in two games. Now, Burrow's status for Monday's game is uncertain due to the calf injury flaring up once again.

With Burrow's status uncertain, we're expecting a more conservative Cincinnati offense which should play to the under in this matchup. The Rams have split the first two games to start the season with an upset win on the road in Seattle fore falling at home to the San Francisco 49ers. Despite the moments of success, we feel the best play is an under right now given Burrow's uncertainty.
