Valentina Shevchenko Form Prior to Noche UFC

Before losing her title to Grasso, every time the UFC odds came around for a Shevchenko fight, she was priced incredibly low. In fact, she would often find herself as low as -1200 in some fights, such as in her battle with Lauren Murphy.

With an endless list of records and titles in combat sports, Shevchenko has racked up stats like the most consecutive wins in UFC women's flyweight history (9) and the most knockouts in the division too (4).

She first won the belt in 2018 by beating Joanna Jędrzejczyk, and by beating the likes of Jessica Eye, Jennifer Maia and Jessica Andrade, Shevchenko would go on to defend her title seven times and set a record for the most title defenses by a woman in UFC history.

This unrivaled period saw her rack up four wins via KO/TKO and three in dominating points victories. Ultimately, until Grasso stopped her in her tracks, Shevchenko was widely being regarded as the best female fighter of all time, alongside Amanda Nunes.

Alexa Grasso Form Prior to Noche UFC

Although Grasso was a huge underdog to defeat Shevchenko, she had amassed a win record of 15-3 before the fight and put together a four-fight win streak.

The only losses on the Mexican’s record come from Felice Herrig on points, Tatiana Suarez via submission and Carls Esparza via majority decision.

Because of her excellent grappling game and fight IQ, you will find some of the UFC betting tips opting for another victory for Grasso. However, our UFC best bets think she loses again with Shevchenko unlikely to make the same mistake twice by getting caught in a submission.

Grasso has won the majority of her fights on points (10 of 16 wins), and since coming into the UFC in 2017, her record stands at 7-3 in the world-leading MMA organization.

Grasso vs. Shevchenko UFC Best Bets

We’ve put together the Noche UFC best bets and our Noche UFC picks for this weekend from the best online betting sites for UFC odds.

UFC Best Bet #1: Shevchenko to win on points (+160) at BetMGM

After securing her 23rd win in her illustrious MMA career against Talia Santos, Shevchenko also registered her eighth win on points. It was also the third time she had done so as the title holder, with five other points wins coming outside of the UFC before recording her first points victory within the organization against Randa Markos.

In the first fight with Grasso, the former champion was also heading for another decision triumph. She had won most of the fight throughout the four rounds until getting caught in a submission, and should she had not made the error that led to the face crank, Shevchenko probably would have won the fight on points.

⭐ UFC Picks: Shevchenko to win on points (+160) at BetMGM

UFC Best Bet #2: Shevchenko by KO/TKO (+390) at FanDuel

Although the UFC odds favor a points win for the challenger, our UFC betting tips  pick Shevchenko to record another KO/TKO win.

In fact, alongside her eight wins on points, she also has eight victories via KO/TKO too. Four of those were with the belt, including her stunning head kick knockout over Jessica Eye that saw her win another Performance of the Night bonus and also get a nomination for Knockout of the Year.

Shevchenko is likely to up the pressure even more in this fight, given what is at stake for her. The incredible use of kicks she possesses and magnificent punching power probably leads to a knockout at some stage.

⭐ UFC 293 Picks: Shevchenko by KO/TKO (+390) at FanDuel

UFC Best Bet #3: Shevchenko by KO/TKO/DQ in Round 3 (+2000) at DraftKings

From her eight KO/TKO wins, Shevchenko has won one of those fights in the third round. What's more, whenever Shevchenko has got a finish via either submission or a KO/TKO, only one fight has gone past the third round. This means that 15 of her 23 wins have come before round three.

UFC Picks: Shevchenko by KO/TKO/DQ in Round 3 (+2000) at DraftKings

Why Valentina Shevchenko Will Win by KO/TKO at Noche UFC

In terms of pure mixed martial arts ability, Shevchenko is probably the greatest female fighter of all time.

The former champion has been perfecting her craft since the age of five, and quite incredibly, Shevchenko’s first professional fight in combat sports was at just 15 years old. In fact, by the time she was 20, the Kyrgyzstani had already competed in and won 30 fights and produced an unbeaten record across muay thai and kickboxing.

Her crazy knockout over Jessica Eye proved how much power she has, and we expect Shevchenko to utilize this more than ever and immediately start smashing Grasso with kicks that likely lead to a KO/TKO.

Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko Noche UFC Predictions & Final Thoughts

Despite the UFC odds favoring the challenger, Grasso deserves some credit. However, Shevchenko is simply too good, and the only reason she lost to Grasso was because the latter read her spinning back kick and capitalized with a submission.

The only time we have seen Shevchenko look out of sorts was in her first fight with Amanda Nunes. Other than this, the record-breaking former champion has effortlessly defeated countless contenders and put together a résumé that barely anyone in women’s UFC history can match.

Whether she gets the job done on points or via a KO/TKO is down to how much Grasso feels the heat of the moment and whether or not Shevchenko can land a clean shot. We, however, think those shots do come in and that the former flyweight queen regains her crown on Saturday.
