Who Will Win America's Got Talent? Simon Crowell Fights Voice Loss

The "America's Got Talent" auditions continued on Tuesday night as a dog act and a young magician were among the contestants to impress the judges.

Panelist Simon Cowell had a quieter episode than usual after losing his voice, but host Terry Crews gave him a soundboard loaded with his favorite declarations to help him deliver feedback during the episode.

But for the first time in season 18, there was no Golden Buzzer in the fifth episode of auditions.

"America's Got Talent" wannabes need at least three yes votes from the four judges - Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel - to advance, but wannabes are out of the contest if they receive two or more red buzzers from the panelists.

But if one of the judges, or host Crews, hits their Golden Buzzer, then the successful contestant is sent straight into the live shows.

Mzansi Youth Choir, Putri Ariani, Chioma and The Atlanta Drum Academy, and Murmuration have all so far received Golden Buzzers, but none of the episode 5 wannabes were put straight into the lives.

With these hypothetical odds provided by industry sports betting experts, we've looked into which remaining America's Got Talent contestants could have what it takes to be the show's Season 18 winner and land the $1 million prize.

Hurricane Storms Into Next Round of America's Got Talent

Cowell has always been a fan of dog acts on both America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, and he had to use his soundboard to relay his feelings about Adrian Stoica and his pet pooch Hurricane.

The panelist admitted it was one of his "favorite auditions" in season 18, but there was even more praise from Mandel, who insisted the pair were one of his favorite dog acts in the show's history.

While they're not straight through to the live shows, Stoica and Hurricane are now +400 fourth favorites to win this year's AGT, behind joint favorites Murmuration and Putri Ariani (+250), and their fellow Golden Buzzer recipients Chioma & The Atlanta Drum Academy (+300), and Mzansi Youth Choir (+350).

Just behind Stoica and Hurricane in the betting is 10-year-old magician Ryland Petty, who is +450 fifth favorite to win this year's contest.

Petty made it to the semi-finals of Season 15 of Britain’s Got Talent in 2022, but Cowell didn't reveal on AGT that he had met Petty before on BGT.

Cowell was clearly a fan of Petty's audition though, as he performed a rare feat during the episode by actually giving some feedback via his microphone.

He told the youngster: "You really have magic powers. Skip school, go straight to Vegas."

Petty is now level in the betting with two fellow +450 chances, ventriloquist Brynn Cummings and dancer Alexandr Leshchenko.

Cowell was also impressed with acrobat Chen Lei in episode 5, with the panelist describing the star - who was born in China, but now lives Las Vegas - as being "on another level".

Vergara described Lei as "perfection", and she added: "It’s the most fun I’ve had tonight."

Lei is +500 to win the season, the same price as vocal group Freedom Singers, who impressed in episode 4; head balancing duo Ramadhani Brothers; and Ahren Belisle, who uses a text-to-speech app on his phone to deliver his stand-up comedy performances.

Acrobatic group Warrior Squad, aspiring Broadway singer D'Corey Johnson, dancer Eseniia Mikheeva, and singer Dani Kerr are all at +550.

Sharpe Family Singers May Go Far on America's Got Talent

Sharpe Family Singers are +700 to win this year's "America's Got Talent" after an impressive performance of "How Far I’ll Go" in their episode 5 audition.

Led by Samantha Sharpe, who previously auditioned for American Idol, the group were praised by Klum for "living her dream."

They are just behind fellow singer Roland Abante (+600), Sainted Trap Choir (+600), hula hooper Grace Good (+600), sword sallower Herwan Legaillard (+600), and contortionist and pole dancer El Invertebrado (+650) in the market.

Magicians Anna DeGuzman and Trigg Watson are also +700 in the futures betting, while a host of AGT wannabes are at +750, including Ninah Sampaio, who performed Pink song "Try" while solving a Rubik's Cube in episode 4, heavy metal outfit Steel Panther, dancer Lambros Garcia, and country singer Mitch Rossell.

Elsewhere, comedian and pianist Barry Brewer Jr. is +800 after Klum admitted she didn't want his act to end.

Fellow comedians Maureen Langan and Orlando Leyba are also +800, the same price as YouTube singing sensation Alfie Andrew.

Tap dancer Justin Jackson is no stranger to performing on TV after previously appearing on So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and Klum is keen to see "more" of the star in this year's "America's Got Talent."

After progressing to the next round, Jackson is +900 in the betting, level with fellow episode 5 star Lachuné, who Klum is also keen to see more of.

Klum told Lachuné she is "scratching the surface" of her talents, while Cowell praised her "beautiful, beautiful voice."

TikTok sensation Zoe Erianna is also +900 to win this year's AGT, just ahead of two +850 chances, violinist Philip Bowen and guitarist John Wines.

Trailer Flowers Through After Mandel Rejection

Country singing duo Trailer Flowers needed yeses from Cowell, Vergara and Klum to progress to the next round after Mandel gave them a no.

The panelist insisted they were "good singers," but they need to be "great" to hit the heights the competition requires.

Despite the crowd booing him, Mandel didn't change his mind, but Trailer Flowers progressed with three yeses, and they are now +1200 to win AGT, the same price as magician Mandy Muden.

Fellow magician Sangsoon Kim is narrowly ahead at +1000 after impressing in episode 5, with Vergara praising Kim as "fresh".

The judge also loved viral dancer Erica Coffelt, who is also +1000, admitting she was "surprisingly very good".

They are level in price with Japanese dance group Avantgardey, but just in front of shadow artist Shadow Ace (+1100).

Danger act Ray Wold remains at the bottom of the market for another week at +1600, ahead of hand percussionist Riccardo Pace (+1500).

Dinosaur costume-wearing acrobat Trex Flips, danger act Thomas Vu, and Ukrainian acrobatic trio Three G are all +1400.

Next week, America's Got Talent is taking a break due to it being Independence Day.

The Macy's Fireworks Spectacular will air in the AGT time slot, but the talent show will return on Tuesday July 11th.
