“With the continued growth of legal sports gaming throughout the tri-state area, it’s a priority for MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment to ensure that fans and viewers have access to educational resources on how to wager responsibly,” Ron Skotarczak, Executive Vice President, Marketing Partnerships, Madison Square Garden Entertainment said in a media release. “Providing a platform to amplify Have A Game Plan is essential to our strategy and supporting future growth in this industry.”

The campaign will take effect immediately and be seen via various mediums throughout the arena.

What The Partnership Includes

Madison Square Garden patrons will see the campaign on display through digital media with the New York Knicks and New York Rangers, as well as on the MSG Network.

This effort will be regularly seen on the programs Odds with Ends, The Bettor Half Hour, and The Betting Exchange.

“MSG is a fixture in the New York sports market, and we are proud to have them join Have A Game Plan,” AGA Senior Vice President Casey Clark said in the release. “MSG’s unique activations further support our goal of convening the sports betting ecosystem around a common message to advance responsible gaming.”

The core principles of the AGA’s initiative, which will now be showcased and presented throughout the legendary arena, include these responsible sports betting beliefs: “set a budget and stick to it, keep betting social, know the odds and play with trusted, regulated operators.”

Other Notable AGA Partnerships

With sports betting expanding rapidly across the country, this initiative is meant to educate the consumer on this new marketplace.

Today, sports betting is legal in 32 states and Washington D.C. Right now, 142 million American adults can bet legally from home.

The Bet Responsibly campaign began in 2019 and has reached similar partnerships with several sportsbooks, sports teams, and other sports-related organizations.

The list includes BetMGM, DraftKings, Entain, FanDuel, Global Payments, MGM Resorts International, Monumental Sports and Entertainment, NASCAR, New York Jets, NHL, Nuvei, PGA TOUR, Rush Street Interactive, SeventySix Capital, Sightline Payments, Sinclair Broadcast Group, UFC, Vegas Golden Knights and the Washington Football Team.

MSG Partnerships

MSG announced a partnership with Caesars in November.

There will be “hospitality experiences” at MSG for Caesars Rewards program customers and the sportsbook gets media exposure through the MSG Network.

Earlier in the month, MSG announced a deal with BetMGM that will give the sportsbook “substantial brand integration” at the arena.
