Upcoming Olympic Ice Hockey Features NHL Stars On USA, Global Teams

Coming off a 5-1 win on Thursday over Latvia, the USA men’s Olympic ice hockey team faces two other teams in their group this weekend, Denmark and Germany.

Like the USA  team, the teams from Denmark and Germany feature NHL stars, setting the stage for a weekend of high-level hockey on a global stage.

Team USA Weekend Schedule

  • Saturday, Feb. 14, USA-Denmark 3:30 p.m. ET USA Network
  • Sunday, Feb. 15, USA-Germany, 3:10 p.m. USA Network

The remaining USA ice hockey schedule is yet to be determined. The 2026 Winter Olympic Games run from Feb. 6-22 in Italy.

NHL Players On Team Rosters

Below are some of the NHL players on the USA roster:

  • Forwards: Auston Matthews (Toronto), Matthew Tkachuk (Florida), Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa), Jack Eichel (Vegas), Jake Guentzel, (Tampa Bay), J.T. Miller (New York Rangers)
  • Defensemen: Charlie McAvoy (Boston), Adam Fox (New York Rangers), Jacob Slavin (Carolina), Noah Hanifin (Vegas)
  • Goaltenders: Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg), Jake Oettinger (Dallas), Jeremy Swayman (Boston)

  • Goaltenders: Frederik Andersen (Carolina), Mads Sogaard (Ottawa) 

Below are some of the NHL players on Germany’s roster:

  • Forwards: Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton), Tim Stützle (Ottawa), J.J. Peterka (Utah)
  • Defenseman: Moritz Seider (Detroit)
  • Goaltender: Philipp Grubauer (Seattle)
