Bowlero Bowling Centers Team Up with Sports Betting Platform

As the nation slowly comes out of the coronavirus pandemic, many family oriented businesses are looking into how to attract new customers and retain current ones.

A leader in bowling entertainment, Bowlero, this week announced a collaboration with BettorView, an in-venue sports betting marketing and technology platform.

Bowlero bowling centers can distribute BettorView content in states with legal sports betting. Currently, more than 20% of Bowlero's 300-plus locations across the U.S. are located within legal online betting states, according to a news release. If industry trends continue into 2022, this count will increase to over 50% of Bowlero locations.

With the Final Four of March Madness set for Saturday, BettorView will have customized sports stats, analytics and odds alongside special sports betting promotions across multiple touchpoints throughout Bowlero's centers including bars, lounges and lanes, the release said.

Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, Colorado, NJ gambling sites, Pennsylvania and Indiana are among the legal sports betting states with Bowlero centers.

’Perfect Fit for Our Company’

“Bowlero is always looking for innovative opportunities to enhance the guest experience on and off the lanes and now we're able to do just that in association with BettorView,” Lev Ekster, chief strategy officer at Bowlero Corp., said in the release. “Our collaboration with BettorView is strategically aligned with the nation's growing interest in sports betting and this new relationship is a perfect fit for our company.”

In addition to sharing onscreen content and in-center promos, BettorView and Bowlero will use digital marketing capabilities to drive increased awareness for sportsbook brands that have already signed deals for Bowlero locations, the release said.

“Sports betting operators want to be where sports fans are, and what better place to localize reach and engage sports fans with customized betting content than at Bowlero's centers and sports bars, where the most loyal and devoted fans come to have a good time,” Javier Vargas, chief operating officer of BettorView, said in the release. “BettorView will provide vital stats, analytics, odds and promotions that educate the millions of curious betting sports fans who visit Bowlero centers.”
