The SuperBook mobile sports betting app is live in Tennessee.

Tennessee is the fifth state where Las Vegas-based SuperBook operates its mobile platform. The app also is available for downloads in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and New Jersey.

The land-based SuperBook Sportsbook is at the Westgate hotel-casino east of the Las Vegas Strip.

A Dozen Sportsbooks Licensed In Tennessee

SuperBook is one of 12 online bookmakers licensed to accept bets in Tennessee. It went live in the state on April 27.

Though 12 online bookmakers have been approved, not all are operational.

The Tennessee Sports Wagering Advisory Council recently OK’d BallyBet Sportsbook and Betly Sportsbook, but these two are not yet live in the state. They are expected to be live soon.

Next door in Arkansas, Betly Sportsbook, owned by Buffalo, New York-based Delaware North, is the only live online bookmaker in the state so far. It is being operated through Southland Casino Racing, a Delaware North resort in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Two other casinos in Arkansas are expected to launch online sportsbooks soon. These are Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff and Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs.

Bets Banned On Russian, Belarusian Teams

Tennessee does not have brick-and-mortar casinos or sportsbooks. All sports wagering in Tennessee is done on mobile devices such as smartphones and computers.

Mobile sports betting became legal in the state in November 2020.

In Tennessee, bettors can wager on major sports such as basketball and football, in addition to other events in 34 categories. These include rowing, bare knuckle fighting and sanctioned cornhole competitions.

Bettors also are allowed to wager on the USFL games now airing on national television. The eight-team league began play April 16. The teams are slated to play a 10-week schedule, though the dates and times for games after Week 7 (May 27-29) have not been listed on the league website.

Some betting options are restricted in Tennessee. In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late February, betting has been suspended on Russian and Belarusian leagues and teams.
