The Best WSOP Vlogs to Watch this Summer

This week’s Twittertainment looks at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) or, as it should be called, the World Series of Vlogging (WSOV). With pros and amateurs vying for a slice of the social media pie, there have been plenty of video logs (vlogs) popping up over the last two weeks.

For people tracking the World Series of Poker from home, these vlogs provide valuable insights and a healthy dose of entertainment. So, in our role as social media scouts, we’ve picked out some of the best WSOP vlogs of 2023.

Daniel Negreanu Ups the Vlogging Ante

Currently holding the biggest stack in the WSOP vlogging stacks is Daniel Negreanu. He has become something of a social media star in recent years, and his WSOP vlogs have become compulsive viewing.

The daily updates are back in force this summer and, already, we’ve seen Negreanu dropping more than $400,000 in buy-ins, bantering with Phil Ivey, and getting drunk at a Vegas Knights hockey game.

Mike Lets His Mouth Do the Talking

Another online poker pro who’s jumped on the vlogging bandwagon is Mike Matusow. The Mouth has used his way with words as much as his poker skills to make a name for himself over the years. He wants things to go well at the tables as he fights for his fifth WSOP bracelet.

Instead of that, he’s living up to his moniker and entertaining the masses with WSOP video content. They’re not as in-depth as Negreanu’s vlogs, but they provide a glimpse into how he handles six weeks of tournament action. Perhaps the biggest insight so far is that Matusow has his own WSOP chair (see video above).

Ashley Sleeth is Starting from the Bottom

Also showing you how to navigate the WSOP’s many twists and turns is Ashley Sleeth. She published her first WSOP update this week. As well as her checklist of Vegas essentials, Sleeth announced her $20,000 to $100,000 challenge (see video below).

She’ll be playing tournaments all summer, including events at the Wynn, Aria, and Venetian. However, with so much potential value in low-stakes WSOP events, she’ll be hunting for bracelets at Paris and Horseshoe over the coming weeks.

Jeff Boski Bringing Out the Big Guns

Jeff Boski is another poker pro who’s pulled out all the stops to entertain you. The American has a budding YouTube channel with more than 54,000 subscribers and, in his first WSOP vlog, he’s added some new frills.

That’s right, in an effort to make his vlogs even better, Boski has employed the services of a video editor.

With Boski providing b-roll footage and his editor making it look fancy, it’s another great WSOP series to watch this summer. You can check out the first vlog above or visit Boksi’s YouTube channel for more content.

Video Insights from a WSOP Grinder

The final YouTube series worth a watch over the coming weeks isn’t from a high-profile pro. The WSOP attracts players from all over the world and all parts of the poker community. Tim Watts, aka TheTrooper97, is out in Vegas trying to make it big.

So far, he has been hitting all of the low and mid-stakes WSOP events. Naturally, he’s giving us regular video updates. However, as entertaining as the tournament updates are, we like Watts’ views on the heat in Vegas, the nuances of entering events, and what the WSOP is like from a grinder’s perspective (see video below).
