Novig Prediction Market Review 2026 - Sign Up with Promo Code GDC
Novig has reinvented itself again, and this time, it's official. After starting out as a peer-to-peer betting exchange and later pivoting to a sweepstakes-style casino, Novig relaunched nationwide on August 4, 2026, as a fully federally regulated sports prediction market, trading under the CFTC-registered entity Ludlow Exchange LLC.
Instead of betting against the house, Novig is positioned as a no-vig alternative to traditional sportsbooks. It's live in 47 states, backed by a $500 million valuation and a splashy exclusive partnership with the New York Mets.
Here's what you need to know before you trade.
- Set your own odds as a maker, or take the best price on the board
- Maker fills and all pre-game trades carry zero fees
- 0% house edge: peer-to-peer pricing instead of a sportsbook spread
- Never limits winners
- Ability to build sports parlays
- NY Mets' official prediction market partner
- No playthrough requirements for withdrawals
- Unavailable in Michigan, Nevada, Arizona
- No election or pop culture markets
- Live in-game trades and parlays carry a taker fee
- Referral Credits expire in 7 days and require $25 of additional trading before becoming withdrawable
Who is Novig?
Novig has completed its transformation from a betting exchange to a sweepstakes app to a fully regulated sports prediction market. As of August 2026, Novig operates as a Designated Contract Market (DCM) registered with the CFTC, trading under the entity name Ludlow Exchange LLC, the same regulatory status held by Kalshi and Polymarket, but built specifically for sports.
Instead of placing a bet against the house, you're trading contracts on sports outcomes peer-to-peer, with Novig acting as the exchange rather than the bookmaker. The advantage: no house edge, user-set odds if you want to be a "maker," and payouts that aren't capped by traditional sportsbook limits.
Novig only offers sports markets (NFL, MLB, UFC, tennis, and more). There are no political, cultural, or financial contracts.
Novig is currently available in 47 US states (unavailable in Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada). You must be 21+ to trade with Novig.
How is Novig Regulated?
Novig is registered as a Designated Contract Market and is overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission at the federal level, rather than under state sweepstakes or sports betting laws.
What Markets does Novig Offer?
Novig only offers sports event contracts for the following leagues and sports:
- Football: NFL, NCAA football
- Basketball: NBA, WNBA, NCAA men's & women's basketball
- Tennis: WTA, ATP
- MLB baseball
- NHL hockey
- PGA Golf
- UFC
You'll find straight trades (moneylines, point spreads, futures, or prop bets against one other trader) or parlays. Your requested parlay legs are priced in real time, and Novig returns the best price available.
If a straight-trade market has little or no liquidity, Novig may step in as a market maker itself to fill your order rather than leave you waiting.
How Does Novig Work?
Novig is a peer-to-peer order book. That means you trade sports contracts against other users instead of against a traditional "house," like a sportsbook that sets the odds.
Contract prices fluctuate between $0 and $1 depending on the market's live estimate of the probability that an outcome will happen. You can buy a contract, sell to lock in a gain or cut a loss, or hold to settlement, with winning contracts paying $1 and losing contracts paying $0.
How to Trade on Novig
Every trade on Novig is either a Take (accept a price already sitting on the book, executes instantly) or a Make (set your own price and wait for another trader to match it). You can set your own prices as a "maker" or take the best available price as set by other traders, but you have to wait; takers get instant execution at the going rate.
Pregame make orders cancel automatically once the event goes live, even if your chosen duration hasn't expired. Live make orders instead run until either your set duration or the game itself ends, whichever comes first.
Eligible straight-trade positions can be closed before the event ends via Cash Out, which sells your position at whatever the market currently thinks it's worth. That can be more or less than your original stake, depending on how the odds have moved. Cash out isn't available for every position; if there isn't enough live market activity to generate a price, the option won't appear.
Fee Structure
Novig doesn't build a spread or vig into its odds; instead, only the "taker" side of a trade pays a fee, and only in two situations:
Live (in-game) straight trades
The taker pays 0.03 × P × (1-P) per contract, where P is the contract price in dollars. At even odds (50¢), that works out to roughly $0.75 per 100 contracts, turning true +100 odds into about -103 after the fee.
Parlays
A 0.10 × P × (1-P) per-contract fee is already built into the quoted price you see in the app. Nothing is added at checkout.
Everything else is free: all pre-game trades, and any trade where your order rested on the book and was filled by someone else (a "maker" fill), carries no fee at all, regardless of the market.
Members who consistently supply liquidity can also earn cash back through Novig's Maker Credit Program: 50% of the taker fee on any live, in-game trade in which their resting order is filled (parlays and pre-game trades don't qualify).
Payment Methods
Novig accepts several ways to fund your account, all crediting your balance dollar-for-dollar:
- Credit or debit card: Visa (including Rollcard), Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, processed through Coinflow
- Apple Pay: Available on supported iOS devices
- Aeropay: Links directly to your bank account
- Stablecoins (via Coinflow): USDC or USDT; Novig generates a one-time wallet address per deposit that expires after 60 minutes, and credits your balance once the transfer confirms on-chain
Aeropay bank transfers and stablecoin crypto payments are the more cost-effective options, as Novig doesn't charge any fees for deposits. Credit, debit, and Apple Pay carry a 3% deposit fee.
Supported withdrawal methods are bank transfer and debit card, with a $10 minimum per withdrawal. Withdrawals are often processed within minutes, though they can take 24 to 48 hours during high-volume periods.
All deposited funds can be withdrawn at any time with no playthrough requirement. Your balance is simply your money, minus whatever's tied up in open positions. Funds tied to an active trade sit in escrow until the position closes or the underlying event settles.
Novig requires KYC verification before releasing funds, per CFTC-mandated rules.
The Novig promo code to claim the welcome bonus is GDC.
New members 21+ who verify their account and deposit $10 or more receive $25 in Trade Credits, issued as five $5 credits. Each credit applies to one trade only, at contract prices between $0.01 and $0.60, and expires 30 days after issuance.
There's no playthrough requirement beyond the trade itself; winnings from a credit-funded trade are withdrawable under Novig's standard terms.
Novig Points Program
Novig's loyalty program is called Novig Points. Opt in to start earning points on your trades and move through five monthly tiers. Members earn points on executed trades, including parlays and maker fills, as well as daily and monthly challenges. Points reset every month at 6 a.m. ET on the first of the month, giving everyone a clean slate to climb.
Reaching a new tier unlocks two things: an intra-month reward (active for 7 days from the moment you unlock it) and an end-of-month Novig Cash payout, credited by 6 p.m. ET on the first of the following month.
Novig also funds a monthly prize pool split across Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Obsidian finishers; August 2026's pool totaled 250,000 Novig Cash, distributed as follows:
| Tier | Cash Prize | Trade Credit |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | - | - |
| Bronze | Cash prize | $5 (1.5 odds min.) |
| Silver | Boosted cash prize | $10 |
| Gold | Premium cash prize | $20 |
| Obsidian | Max. cash prize | $50 |
All tiers also receive custom, themed order slips. Exact cash amounts per tier vary month to month based on that month's pool size and are finalized only after the month ends.
Points themselves can't be traded, transferred, or redeemed directly. They exist only to determine your tier. Points from parlays stay pending until the parlay settles; points from maker (resting) orders stay pending until the order fills.
Members can track everything from the in-app My Points tab, which breaks out a monthly points tracker, a lifetime activity graph, and a monthly achievements recap.
Points Challenges
Alongside the tier system itself, Novig runs a rotating library of themed challenges that award bonus points toward your monthly tier. Each follows the same three-checkpoint structure (25 / 50 / 100 points) and requires opting in via Points → Challenges → Start Challenge in the app.
Not every challenge listed below is live at all times. Novig rotates them in and out depending on season and sport availability.
| Challenge | Market | Checkpoint 1 | 2 | 3 | Restriction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Login | n/a | 5 consecutive days | 10 consecutive days | 25 consecutive days | Streak resets on a missed day; each checkpoint claimable once per month |

Other Novig Promotions
Once you've claimed the Novig bonus for new users, these ongoing offers can keep your balance topped up:
- Refer-a-Friend: Existing members can refer up to 5 friends once they've made at least 5 trades, risked $50 or more, and deposited $10 or more. Referred friends get the standard $25 New Member offer above; the referring member earns a separate $25 Referral Credit, though that credit expires in just 7 days and isn't withdrawable until you trade another $25 on top of it.
- Maker Credit Program: Earn cash back equal to 50% of the taker fee whenever your resting order fills during a live, in-game market.
App & Site User Experience
Novig's layout did not change drastically with its new prediction-market format. You'll still easily find all available sports markets, your own portfolio, and a live leaderboard.
Within each sport or league, Novig offers pre-built parlays, player prop filters, futures, and more bet types, where you can see how much has already been traded on a given market and track how it's changed over time.
When reviewing the site, some of our favorite features included:
- Fair Value Settlement: If a market can no longer produce a clear yes/no result, it pays out the value of each side's position based on the 30 minutes of trading immediately before the disruption.
- Early Payout: If you hedge a market by trading both sides of the same event, Novig automatically calculates and instantly credits whatever profit is already locked in, regardless of how the game finishes.
Here's what real app users have been saying since the platform's update:
- "I've used [other sportsbooks] for years, but once I tried Novig, everything changed. The biggest gamechanger? No vig."
- "Introducing NASCAR and Formula 1 could elevate it to a whole new level."
- "I was initially having issues linking my bank. When I reached out to customer support, there was practically no wait."
How Novig Compares to Other Prediction Market Apps
Novig is the best economic deal for a frequent, liquidity-providing sports trader who doesn't need social features or non-sports markets, but it's also the most narrowly gated.
Novig's fee structure is among the most generous for liquidity providers in the US, even more so than Polymarket's maker rebate pool. All pre-game trades and any maker fills are free, and the Maker Credit Program rebates 50% of the taker fee on live maker fills.
Like ProphetX, it mirrors a traditional sportsbook format and only provides sports markets, stripping out the house margin for more user-friendly pricing. Novig's Early Payout and Fair Value Settlement are features no other platform currently matches, allowing users to disrupt and better hedge markets.
The tradeoff is a stricter minimum age of 21 (versus 18 at most rival prediction markets) and a product that's still finding its regulatory footing. Novig does have a leaderboard, like other platforms, as well as a loyalty program, but otherwise, its social features are lacking.
Safety & Responsibility Measures
Opening a Novig account requires identity verification (KYC), which is both a legal requirement for a CFTC-regulated exchange and a fraud safeguard.
During signup, you'll provide your legal name, date of birth, address, phone number, and the last 4 digits of your SSN; a US driver's license or state ID may also be required if that information doesn't automatically match public records.
Each person is limited to one verified Novig account.
Customer Support
Help is available 24/7, but the contact options aren't easy to find on desktop devices. Fortunately, things are better on Novig's mobile app, which is its primary platform.
If the FAQ doesn't help, you can typically resolve issues via live chat within 10 minutes via live chat or by calling the customer support (1-917-310-4992). For less urgent enquiries, email responses usually arrive within 12-24 hours (support@novig.co).
Responsible Trading
Novig safeguards include a minimum trading age of 21, market surveillance, and protections against manipulation and insider trading.
Practical tips for staying in control are backed by these responsible gaming tools:
- Self-assessment questionnaire: Novig publishes a short set of reflective questions members can use to gauge whether their trading is becoming problematic (e.g., hiding activity, chasing losses, letting it affect sleep or relationships).
- Limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly caps on how much you deposit or trade.
- Timeouts and self-exclusion: Suspend your own account for a set window (1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months).
- Account closure: Request through Novig's customer support.
- Self-exclusion: Members who want to step back from prediction market trading more broadly, not just on Novig, can register through the independent site selfexclude.io, which multiple participating platforms honor.
If you or someone you know needs additional support, contact Gambling Addicts Anonymous or visit gambling.com/responsible.
Our Final Verdict on Novig
Novig is the only major CFTC-regulated exchange built exclusively around sports, and it doesn't touch politics, culture, or financial markets. This will feel familiar to traders accustomed to sportsbooks' odds and layouts.
Rather than baking a spread into every line, Novig only charges a fee on the taker side of live in-game trades and parlays; makers and all pre-game trades are free regardless of market. For more frequent, serious traders, Novig's Maker Credit Program provides an incentive to create markets that attract fellow traders, and Early Payouts credit the winning side when you hedge your bets.
This makes Novig’s fee structure genuinely excellent for frequent, liquidity-providing traders, rewarding those who trade often and post liquidity.
However, Novig is on its third business model in five years and recently reaffirmed its minimum age requirement of 21, whereas other prediction markets are available to those 18+.
Still, Novig is an ideal choice to high-volume, fee-conscious traders looking to hone in on sports contracts.
User Feedback
Novig FAQs
Where is Novig legal?
Novig is available to users aged 21 and older in every US state except Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada, where regulators have taken legal action against prediction market operators.
Novig itself is currently in litigation with New York, which is separately suing Kalshi over the same underlying question of whether federal commodities law preempts state gambling law.
Is Novig a sportsbook or a prediction market?
As of August 2026, Novig operates as a prediction market, specifically a CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market trading under the name Ludlow Exchange LLC. It previously operated as a peer-to-peer betting exchange and, later, a sweepstakes-style casino before its 2026 relaunch.
What is the minimum age to trade on Novig?
You must be at least 21 years old to open a Novig account and trade, a stricter threshold than the 18+ minimum required by competitors like Kalshi and Polymarket.
Novig has cited this higher age requirement as part of its broader responsible trading framework, positioning it closer to traditional sportsbook standards than to those of other prediction market platforms.
Does Novig charge a vig like a sportsbook?
No. Novig doesn't build a spread into its odds. It charges a small, disclosed fee only on live in-game trades and parlays, paid by the "taker" side of the trade. Maker fills and all pre-game trades are fee-free.
How do I download the Novig app?
Eligible users 21 and older can download the Novig app directly from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, then sign up, verify their identity, and link a payment method to start trading. At the time of this Novig review, the app is not available in Michigan, Arizona, or Nevada.
Does Novig charge any fees?
Fees on Novig fall into two categories: trading fees and payment fees. You only pay a fee as the "taker" in a live straight trade or a parlay. Funding your account with credit, debit, or Apple Pay applies a standard 3% fee, while Aeropay, Stripe, and stablecoin deposits incur no additional fees.
Can I make trades on college sports with Novig?
Yes, Novig supports trading on college sports. The platform currently covers college football, men's college basketball, and women's college basketball, giving traders access to game lines, spreads, and totals across these markets. As Novig continues expanding its sports coverage, additional college sports and markets may be added in future updates.
