Happy Valley Casino Reveals Full Table Game Line-Up Ahead Of 2026 Opening

A clearer picture of what gamblers can expect at the long-awaited Happy Valley Casino is beginning to emerge, as developers unveiled a full line-up of table games and confirmed a targeted April 2026 opening.
The $120million project, set to transform the former Macy’s anchor store at the Nittany Mall, will debut with 30 table games and 750 slot machines, pending final approval from state regulators.
Sweet 16 Blackjack Tables
According to filings with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), Happy Valley Casino will offer:
- 16 blackjack tables
- Three roulette tables
- Two each for craps, mini baccarat, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em
- Single tables for Spanish 21, three card poker, face up pai gow poker, Mississippi stud, and pai gow poker

The PGCB’s enforcement arm said last month it had no objections to the casino’s certification, provided developers comply with a dozen conditions, including security protocols, staffing plans and board-approved inspections.
If granted approval, developers must also pay a $2.5m authorization fee within five business days.
After its first year of operation, Happy Valley Casino could request permission to add up to 10 more table games.
New Name And Logo
The venue will officially open as Happy Valley Casino, SC Gaming LLC announced earlier this year, unveiling a logo inspired by the valleys and mountains of central Pennsylvania.
Eric Pearson, CEO of SC Gaming, said the branding “pays homage to the rich history, picturesque landscapes and enduring spirit of the Happy Valley community that we are proud to be a part of”.
Sports Betting Area A Feature
The 94,000-square-foot facility will be open 24/7 and entirely smoke-free.
In addition to slots and table games, plans call for a sports betting area, a sports-themed restaurant with an entertainment stage, a bar and a multi-outlet quick-service food court. About 350 full-time equivalent positions are expected.
Construction is being managed by State College-based Poole Anderson Construction.
SC Gaming also reached a framework agreement with Saratoga Casino Holdings, which could take a majority stake in the project if approved by regulators.
Saratoga operates casinos in New York, Colorado and Mississippi.
Tax And Jobs Boost
The project started in 2020 but suffered delays with litigation. The PGCB approved the licensing in 2023, which was upheld when the state Supreme Court dismissed an appeal.
Responses from the large local community still vary. Supporters stress projected economic impact, of which College Township anticipates will add approximately $1.6m per year in tax revenue and an estimated 400 jobs.
Opponents continue to raise issues related to problem gaming, crime and other impacts on local resources.
Pearson has met with residents on previous occasions to listen to their concerns directly. College Township has also hired an independent firm to conduct its own impact study to weigh potential risks and impacts.
If approvals go through as expected, Happy Valley Casino would begin welcoming its first players in the spring of 2026, ushering in a new era of entertainment for central Pennsylvania.
