Rollcard Review 2026: A Purpose-Built Debit Card for Serious US Bettors

Reviewed by

Most debit cards were never designed with sportsbook deposits in mind. Bettors encounter declines, daily caps, and routing issues unrelated to their actual balance.

Rollcard takes a different approach.

It is a VISA-branded debit card purpose-built for US betting transactions, issued through Cross River Bank and engineered to handle high-volume play at licensed sportsbooks, casinos, daily fantasy sites, prediction markets and racebooks. Rollcard deposits held at Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, are insured up to $250,000. Rollcard, LLC is not an FDIC-insured bank. Deposit insurance covers the failure of an insured bank.

It's available in all states where online gaming is permitted.

Get Your Rollcard

Sign-up is fully digital, and the virtual card lives inside the Rollcard app the moment your account opens. Funding is processed via ACH through Plaid, and a physical VISA debit card is automatically mailed.

The Rollcard Visa® Debit Card is issued by Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The Rollcard card program is managed by Rollcard LLC, a subsidiary of Grandstand Limited.

What Is Rollcard?

Rollcard is a VISA-branded debit card linked to a dedicated deposit account¹, not a general checking account you'd open at a retail bank. It is not a prepaid card, a credit product, or a loan. The account is non-interest-bearing.

The debit card is restricted to point-of-sale (POS) transactions at licensed US casinos, prediction market platforms, and sportsbooks, a design choice that enables Rollcard to support far higher card spend than a general-purpose debit card.

Rollcard comes with zero-liability coverage: If someone makes an unauthorized transaction on your card, you're generally not on the hook for it, as long as you report it promptly.³ This protection is part of Regulation E, the federal rule that governs electronic transfers.

Eligibility is straightforward: Applicants must be 21 or older, a US citizen or resident alien with a valid SSN, and provide a US residential address (no P.O. Box). Accounts are individual only, with no joint owners, and the product is not available for business use.

How Rollcard Works

Once funded, the account behaves like a dedicated wagering wallet. Money enters via ACH (the standard electronic transfer system banks use to move funds between accounts), with no cash, checks, wires, or mobile check deposits accepted. Bettors then spend directly with their VISA debit card at supported operators.

The virtual card is available immediately for online use, while the physical card is required for ATM access.

Card Spend and Transaction Limits

You can spend up to $1,000,000 per business day and $250,000 per individual transaction, but bettors should understand how those limits break down in practice.

The card spend figure is a per-business-day ceiling on outbound POS spending at operators, not a deposit limit at any individual operator. ATM withdrawals share the card-spend cap rather than stacking on top of it.

Each sportsbook and casino sets its own per-transaction and daily deposit thresholds, and Rollcard sits beneath them, not on top of them.

TransactionDirectionLimit (per business day)
Card spend (POS at casinos/sportsbooks, ATM, etc., combined)OutUp to $1,000,000
ACH inbound (into Rollcard account)InUp to $1,000,000
ACH outbound (from Rollcard app to external bank)OutUp to $250,000
ATM withdrawalOut$2,000 (counts toward the $1M combined card spend limit)

Every limit above applies per business day, Monday through Friday. A transaction initiated on a weekend or federal holiday counts against the next business day's limit rather than receiving a fresh one.

The $250,000 ACH withdrawal limit out of the Rollcard account is worth flagging for high-volume players. If a session produces a sizable balance, moving the full amount back to a linked bank may take more than one business day.

Inbound capacity is much higher at $1,000,000 per business day, so funding a busy weekend does not hit the ceiling for the vast majority of users.

Funding Your Account

Bank linking is handled exclusively through Plaid. There is no manual routing-and-account entry, and no support for cash, paper checks, wires, or mobile check deposits.

For bettors who already have a Plaid-supported account at a major US bank, the link takes under a minute.

Smaller credit unions occasionally fall outside Plaid's coverage, in which case applicants will need to use a different funding institution.

ACH Timing and Cutoffs

Standard ACH deposits follow a 2 p.m. ET cutoff on business days. Transfers submitted before the cutoff generally credit within 1 to 3 business days; anything submitted after 2 p.m. ET or on a weekend or federal holiday is processed on the next business day.

You should not expect same-day ACH with Rollcard, so bettors planning around a specific kickoff or tournament start should build in a 1- to 3-business-day buffer rather than counting on a same-day top-up.

"For bettors who like to fund on a Sunday for an NFL slate, the practical move is to submit the transfer by Thursday or Friday so the money has cleared before kickoff."

Rollcard Cashback

Cashback is the loyalty layer attached to the Rollcard account, credited automatically rather than requiring manual redemption.

How You Earn

Cashback accrues on qualifying spend: debit card purchases used to fund licensed US sportsbooks, DFS platforms, online casinos, racebooks, and prediction markets. Transactions must post and settle to qualify, so a pending charge that gets reversed will not generate cashback.

The rate depends on your tier and is calculated based on total qualifying spend within the current calendar month; the tier resets on the first of each month:

  • Standard at 0.30% for $500 to $2,500
  • Bronze at 0.35% up to $10,000
  • Silver at 0.40% up to $25,000
  • Gold at 0.45% up to $100,000
  • Platinum at 0.55% above $100,000

Cashback is forfeited on any transaction that is later reversed, refunded, or disputed. It's also forfeited on questionable spending patterns; for example, repeatedly loading and immediately withdrawing funds just to farm rewards rather than actually wagering.

There are no bonus multipliers or category promotions to track outside of the tier structure and the new-account welcome window.

How It's Credited

Cashback is credited automatically to the Rollcard balance² at the end of each calendar month, up to a $1,000 monthly cap, with a $500 monthly qualifying-spend minimum required to earn anything that month.

New accounts get a one-time exception: the first 30 days after signup accrue at 2x the tier rate the account reaches by day 30, paid as a single credit capped at $2,000, before the standard monthly cycle begins.

Cashback is not FDIC insured until it is credited to the account balance, is not subject to Regulation E, and is not guaranteed or interest-bearing.

How Rollcard Compares to Other Gaming Debit Cards

For US players weighing dedicated betting cards, a few structural things set Rollcard apart from the field.

ATM limit$2,000 per business day (counts toward the $1M combined cap)
Cashback structureFive tiers, 0.30% to 0.55%, based on monthly qualifying spend
Welcome offer2x cashback for the first 30 days, capped at $2,000
FDIC insuredYes – deposits held at Cross River Bank, insured up to $250,000¹

The ATM Gap

Cash access is where dedicated gaming cards tend to differ. Rollcard's $2,000 per-business-day ceiling is functionally usable for a player who wants to walk away with cash after a session, where some comparable cards cap ATM access at a level closer to a placeholder than a real cash-access feature.

That cash access is gated to Monday through Friday, shares its cap with the overall card spend limit of up to $1,000,000, and requires the physical card, so weekend cash-out plans need to be sequenced accordingly.

Five Cashback Tiers, One Simple Rule

Rollcard's cashback is tiered based on qualifying spend in a calendar month.

New accounts also get a one-time welcome window: cashback runs at 2x the tier rate for the first 30 days after signup, capped at $2,000, before the standard calendar-month program takes over.

Compared with cards that hold a single flat rate regardless of volume, Rollcard's tiered structure means the highest-volume bettors earn meaningfully more, while the lowest tier still applies from the first $500 in qualifying spend.

There's no threshold to clear before cashback starts accruing.

How to Apply

Applying takes a few minutes. In the Rollcard app, applicants enter personal information, verify their identity, and link a bank account via Plaid. The identity check runs in the background, and most applicants receive a decision in the same session.

Have a government-issued ID and SSN ready, since the verification step will prompt for both.

Once approved, the virtual card appears immediately in the app and can be used for online deposits at supported operators. The 16-digit number, expiration date, and CVV are all visible in the app, so there is no waiting period before the first deposit.

The physical VISA debit card is mailed automatically, no separate order step required, and unlocks ATM access on arrival.

The account is designed to reduce unnecessary declines at gaming merchants, not to bypass any operator's own KYC or deposit rules, so bettors should still expect to complete identity verification at each sportsbook or casino they fund.

Play Responsibly

Rollcard is a payment tool, not a strategy. It does not change odds, improve outcomes, or guarantee returns at any operator.

If you choose to set cooling-off periods on your gambling site account, those can be reversed by contacting the operator's customer service.

Gambling involves risk. Please play responsibly. For support, visit the National Council on Problem Gambling at ncpgambling.org.
