Provider idPair Launches Free Self-Exclusion Tool in Michigan

Prominent responsible gambling technology provider idPair is gearing up to launch its free self-exclusion tool in Michigan this August.
The project is the initial stage of the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program (NVSEP), which strives to offer players facing online gambling issues an opportunity to exclude themselves without incurring costs. The self-exclusion option offered by idPair will empower players to make informed decisions about their online gambling habits and promote a safe gaming environment.
It’s crucial to emphasize that the announcement of the upcoming idPair free self-exclusion is not made through a partnership with online Michigan casinos or a regulatory agency.
There is also no formal relationship with any of the other three states, Colorado, Iowa, and Tennessee, where the free idPair self-exclusion assistance will be available starting in August. Each state will independently decide whether to implement an official integration with NVSEP and how the program aligns with its regulatory frameworks.
The CEO of idPair, Jonathan Aiwazian, said in the official press release announcing the launch of the self-exclusion assistance that, aside from Michigan, Iowa, Tennessee, and Colorado, this free self-exclusion will be available in other jurisdictions in the future.
Additionally, Aiwazian emphasized that idPair aims to offer players in need of a higher level of protection a streamlined method for assistance that removes barriers for those seeking protection.
Affordable Self-Exclusion Tool
Players interested in signing up for the self-exclusion idPair tool can access a free online notary via NVSEP and submit a form to self-exclude in Michigan or the other three states. The main advantage of this initiative is the elimination of the financial burden of players experiencing gambling-related challenges. However, these enhancements do not change current procedures through which operators receive and manage self-exclusion requests from their members.
The NVSEP platform offers a diverse range of online gambling activities, including casinos, sports betting, fantasy sports, poker, and horse racing. The program accommodates each state’s distinct regulatory framework, enabling players to explore different self-exclusion methods.
Interested players can visit the NVSEP website to explore the range of self-exclusion products and discover which properties are supported.
In the future, NVSEP will aim to improve integration capabilities and potentially establish a direct connection with operators' Player Account Management systems. This approach can enhance and simplify self-exclusion processes, providing instant implementation and greater efficiency than current processing times. The scheduled August rollout signals a proactive initiative toward creating a nationwide responsible gambling culture.
