'The Masked Singer's Donut Survives Trolls Night As Cuddle Monster Is Dunked

“The Masked Singer” featured a new wild card entry on Wednesday night in the shape of Cuddle Monster — but they were slam dunked out of the competition.

Former pro basketball player Metta World Peace was revealed to be the character on "Trolls Night,” but he lost out to Anteater in the head-to-head Smackdown.

Anteater was also close to being unmasked last week when he landed in the Smackdown against Hibiscus, but the plant was unmasked as reality TV star Luann de Lesseps on "One Hit Wonders Night.”

Judges Sweet On Donut

The judges, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger, were all sweet on Donut on Wednesday night's episode, and the character is now +200 joint favorite, alongside Cow, to win the whole contest.

"The Dukes of Hazzard" star John Schneider and legendary singer Sir Tom Jones are both +200 to be Donut, after several clues appeared to match up.

Donut spoke of being "part of a mega-hit,” which could relate to iconic TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard,” and the character also told of his love of theater "from Chicago to 42nd Street.”

Schneider starred in a production of "42nd Street” but also portrayed Billy Flynn in the 2008 Broadway adaptation of Chicago.

However, some clues appeared to reference Jones, whose wife Melinda Trenchard died in 2016 aged 59, as Donut spoke about being lost without his significant other.

Candelabra Lights Up Trolls Night

Of the other "Masked Singer" newcomers in the last two episodes, Candelabra is in the midfield of the betting market at +450, behind Sea Queen (+250), Gazelle (+300), and Husky (+400).

R&B singer Keyshia Cole is the +200 favorite to be under the Candelabra mask, followed by +300 chance Tiffany Haddish.

Cole, who panelist Scherzinger guessed, is known as the "Princess of Hip-Hop Soul,” which could refer to the word "princess" in the character's clue package.

A phone call to Kevin Hart was another clue. Cole is good pals with the comedian, but Haddish has also worked with Hart.

Candelabra told how she learned to be tough from an early age due to her mother being in and out of her life in her youth, and that could relate to Haddish.

Anteater's 3rd Time Lucky?

After surviving two Smackdowns, Anteater will be hoping for better fortune in his next "Masked Singer" appearance.

He is at the bottom of the market to win the contest at +700, behind fellow outsiders Tiki (+500) and S’More (+600).

Musician John Oates the +200 favorite to be unmasked as Anteater. Singer-songwriter John Cougar Mellencamp, whom Scherzinger guessed, is +300 second favorite.

Anteater revealed he once performed in front of 40% of the entire world, which might be a nod to benefit concert Live Aid in 1985, where Oates performed.

But Anteater also loves farming, which could mean Mellencamp, who organized the first Farm Aid benefit concert in 1985, is behind the mask.
