Who Will Win The Voice Season 25? Episodes 7 & 8

The first two Battles episodes of this year's "The Voice" took place on Monday and Tuesday night, and there was no shortage of rivalry between the coaches.

Each of the coaches, John Legend, Dan + Shay, Chance the Rapper and Reba McEntire, went into the round with teams of 10 wannabes apiece following the six rounds of Blind Auditions.

For the Battles, each coach pitches two of their own team against one another in a Battle, and the loser goes home unless they are saved by their own coach with a Playoffs Pass, or they are stolen by another coach.

Each coach has one Playoffs Pass to use on one of their own eliminated wannabes, meaning that contestant then progresses to the Playoffs, bypassing the Knockouts stage.

What's more, each coach also has one steal, meaning they can take a losing Battles contestant from another team, but a Playoff Pass trumps a steal.

A total of 18 contestants took part in this week's two episodes, and just four acts went home, OK3, Gabriel Goes, Ryan Argast, and William Alexander.

New Favorite Nadège

Nadège is the new +150 favorite to win season 25 of "The Voice", despite losing out to Maddi Jane in the Battles.

After Chance chose Jane ahead of Nadège, both Legend and Dan + Shay tried to steal her.

However, it was all in vain for the two coaches, because Chance used his Playoff Pass, after admitting during Nadège's Battle there is something" pure and earnest and real" about her.

Chance chose Jane (+250) above Nadège for her "superstar presence", but she is behind L. Rodgers in the futures betting.

In one of McEntire's Battles, Tae Lewis beat L. Rodgers, but Chance then tried to steal Rodgers for his own team.

However, McEntire used her Playoff Pass to block Chance and keep Rodgers on her team and send him into the Playoffs.

Rodgers is now +200 second favorite for "The Voice" victory, level in price with Bryan Olesen.

Team Legend's Nathan Chester (+400) beat off competition from Olesen, who McEntire and Dan + Shay then attempted to steal.

However, Legend chose to keep "pro" Olesen for his team and used his Playoff Pass to deny McEntire and Dan + Shay the chance to land him.

He will now bypass the Knockouts and go straight to the Playoffs.

Future Winner Waldrup?

Elsewhere, Karen Waldrup is now +500 to win season 25 after Dan + Shay chose to keep her because she "has the stuff to be able to win this show".

Waldrup's victory meant Argast was eliminated, but it was better news for +600 chance Frank Garcia, who Dan + Shay chose over duo Justin & Jeremy Garcia.

The pair, who are also +600, looked to be heading home after losing to Garcia, but McEntire stole them.

Kamalei Kawa'a is also +600 after Chance chose him over Goes, while 16-year-old Alexander was sent home after McEntire picked Zeya Rae (+650) instead.

One of the biggest surprises of the first two Battles saw Zoe Levert progress to the Knockouts.

She is now +650 to triumph in the series after Legend picked her over OK3, despite admitting Levert was the "underdog" going into the Battle.

Asher HaVon defeated Alyssa Crosby in the Battles after McEntire chose HaVon over Crosby, but the pair both progressed when Crosby was stolen by Chance, after he spotted the "qualities of a star" in her.

The Battles parts three and four will take place next Monday and Tuesday.
