Two Rivers Casino PA Employees in Hot Water Following Cheating Accusations

Pennsylvania state police have arrested two Rivers Casino employees following allegations of a “complex cheating conspiracy” that led to the PA casino losing more than $10,000.

The news was reported by the media across the Keystone State, with WPXI.com stating that the operators were tipped off by an anonymous letter that led them to call in the police.

Conspiracy Took Place at Roulette Table

State police clarified the fraudulent activity was concentrated at a particular roulette table and was orchestrated by Robin Schnepp, a table games dealer, and supervisor Anthony Laush.

At least two players were allowed to cheat on multiple occasions, winning thousands of dollars to the detriment of Rivers Casino PA as a result.

An anonymous letter tipped off casino management about the suspicious activity taking place on Interblock Roulette. During the game, the dealer must manually spin the ball in the opposite direction of the wheel. Should the dealer fail to do this, sensors don’t register that the wheel has been spun, allowing players to continue placing bets even after the ball has landed on a number and the outcome has been determined.

The ingenious ploy did not go unnoticed by other players who spoke to WPXI on condition of anonymity, with one player stating, “in the past year I noticed a couple glitches with it, with the digital number coming up and the delay.”

State police found that surveillance video footage showed Schnepp spinning the roulette ball incorrectly, with two players seen to increase their bets after the ball landed. The fraudulent spins were then validated by Laush.

Moreover, Laush is also facing charges of loading fraudulent comps onto the account of one of the players. The two employees will appear for preliminary hearings on April 2, but police declined to confirm whether the two players would also be charged.

You can play roulette at PA online casinos where table games are regularly and independently tested for fairness.
