Caesars Sportsbook is coming to Spokane, Wash.

Caesars Partners With Spokane Tribe

The Spokane Tribe Casino announced an exclusive agreement with Caesars Entertainment to bring its sportsbook to its property, allowing casino goers the ability to place a sports bet at the facility.

“As we look toward the completion of our first phase of expansion, this partnership is an important component for us as a growing casino,” Carol Evans, Chairwoman of the Spokane Tribe of Indians, said in a news release.

As it stands, only retail sports betting is permitted in Washington. There is no online sports betting market, meaning players must visit one of the casinos in the state that feature a sportsbook if they want to place their bets. Spokane’s partnership with Caesars allows bettors to go through one of the more well-known sportsbook brands in the country.

“We’re excited to partner with Caesars Sportsbook to offer in-person sports betting in our new state-of-the-art sportsbook utilizing Caesars’ betting platforms that offer hundreds of ways to wager on sports,” Javier De La Rose, General Manager of the Spokane Tribe Casino, said in the release. “This partnership also allows us to bring a new type of guest to the property while offering expanded gaming options for all players."

Spokane Tribe Casino will also feature a new dining option as part of its dedicated space for the Caesars Sportsbook inside the casino. Players can place their bets once the current expansion phase is completed. According to the media release, the expansion is expected to be finished before Super Bowl LVI.

FanDuel Opening Sportsbook in Washington

FanDuel is also set to debut its sportsbook in Washington. Starting on Friday at 4 p.m. PST, the FanDuel Sportsbook at Suquamish Clearwater Casino will begin taking bets. The official ribbon-cutting event will feature former Seattle Seahawk and former U.S. Congressman Steve Largent, who will also place the first ceremonial bet.

The new 2,000-square foot FanDuel Sportsbook will have three live betting windows and 12 IGT PlaySports self-service betting kiosks.

Sports Betting Continues to Grow in Washington

While no statewide online market appears to be imminent in Washington, retail sports betting has continued to grow since the start of the NFL season. The Snoqualmie Tribe was the first to start offering sports betting, launching its retail sportsbook in time for the NFL season opener between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys back on Sept. 9.

Snoqualmie is also the only casino in Washington to feature online sports betting from its premises. Patrons can place bets from their mobile devices as long as they are on Snoqualmie grounds. In-play betting is also available through Snoqualmie’s online offering.

There are nine tribes approved for sports betting in Washington. Another popular operator, BetMGM Sportsbook, entered the state’s retail sports wagering market through an agreement with the Puyallup Tribe in October.
