According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Chiefs are favored to win Super Bowl 60, set for Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Will The Lombardi Trophy Be Named For Tom Brady?

NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick recently sparked controversy on the “Let’s Go” podcast by suggesting that the Super Bowl’s Vince Lombardi Trophy should be renamed for former star quarterback Tom Brady.

Currently, the trophy is named for the Green Bay Packers head coach whose teams won the first two Super Bowls. To many, that trophy name seems as embedded in league lore as the NHL’s Stanley Cup.

Belichick now coaches the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, but Brady led the Pats to six Super Bowl victories with Belichick as head coach. Brady later won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Belichick said the league “maybe” should rename the title trophy the Brady Trophy. Brady is a Fox Sports game analyst on NFL broadcasts and a Las Vegas Raiders minority owner.

"Players win games,” Belichick said on the podcast. “You can't win games without good players. I don't care who the coach is; it's impossible. You can't win without good players.”

According to an MSN story, changing the trophy’s name “could face resistance from traditionalists who value the league’s storied past.”

“Renaming the Lombardi Trophy to honor Tom Brady is far from a guaranteed outcome,” MSN noted, “but Belichick’s suggestion has certainly sparked a conversation."
