NFL Look Ahead: Super Bowl 2026 Odds, Renaming Lombardi Trophy

Super Bowl 59 is not yet in the books—the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles square off Sunday in New Orleans—but already the odds are out on which team will win next year’s championship game.

Below, Gambling.com looks ahead at the way-too-early odds on next year’s Super Bowl and offers odds on whether the title game’s Vince Lombardi Trophy will be renamed.

Which Team Wins Next Year’s Super Bowl?

According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Chiefs are favored to win Super Bowl 60, set for Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The Top 5 NFL teams with the top odds in 2026 have quarterbacks recognized as among the league’s best, including the Chief’s Patrick Mahomes.

The bottom five have struggled at the quarterback position. For instance, the Giants released starter Daniel Jones several games into this season after a rocky start.

Will The Lombardi Trophy Be Named For Tom Brady?

NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick recently sparked controversy on the “Let’s Go” podcast by suggesting that the Super Bowl’s Vince Lombardi Trophy should be renamed for former star quarterback Tom Brady.

Currently, the trophy is named for the Green Bay Packers head coach whose teams won the first two Super Bowls. To many, that trophy name seems as embedded in league lore as the NHL’s Stanley Cup.

Belichick now coaches the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, but Brady led the Pats to six Super Bowl victories with Belichick as head coach. Brady later won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Belichick said the league “maybe” should rename the title trophy the Brady Trophy. Brady is a Fox Sports game analyst on NFL broadcasts and a Las Vegas Raiders minority owner.

"Players win games,” Belichick said on the podcast. “You can't win games without good players. I don't care who the coach is; it's impossible. You can't win without good players.”

According to an MSN story, changing the trophy’s name “could face resistance from traditionalists who value the league’s storied past.”

“Renaming the Lombardi Trophy to honor Tom Brady is far from a guaranteed outcome,” MSN noted, “but Belichick’s suggestion has certainly sparked a conversation."

Based on the current mood regarding that idea, the likelihood the NFL will change the trophy’s name in the near future has resulted in these odds from Gambling.com:

  • Name change WON’T happen: -150
  • Name change WILL happen: +10000
