Texas vs. Marquette Pick & South Carolina vs. Clemson Prediction

CBB Parlay Pick #1: ⭐ Texas +12.5 Plus South Carolina +14.5 (-112) at BetMGM

The No. 8 Marquette Golden Eagles (6-2; 4-3-1 ATS) host the No. 12 Texas Longhorns (6-1; 2-5 ATS) for the Big East-Big 12 Battle at Fiserv Forum. According to BetMGM, the Golden Eagles are 8-point favorites. We think Texas will make this clash interesting to watch down the stretch, so the Longhorns open our college basketball picks today

The Longhorns’ lone loss came against the reigning NCAA champions, the UConn Huskies, on November 20. Texas suffered an 81-71 defeat and failed to cover a 5.5-point spread. Since then, the Longhorns have won two straight contests over Wyoming 86-63 and Texas State 77-58. On the other side, the Golden Eagles have dropped two of their last three contests, sandwiching a 93-56 thrashing of Southern with a pair of losses against Purdue 78-75 and Wisconsin 75-64.

Texas is a solid defensive team and ranks 17th in the country in opposing effective field goal percentage (43.7). Five Longhorns average points north of 11.0, including senior guard Max Abmas (16.7 PPG, 4.0 APG). Marquette arguably lacks size and struggles on the glass, so let’s start our college basketball parlay picks with the Texas Longhorns +12.5 (-240) at BetMGM

The South Carolina Gamecocks (7-0; 6-1 ATS) head to Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, SC, as 8.5-point underdogs. They’ll struggle to contain senior forward PJ Hall (21.4 PPG, 7.7 RPG), but the No. 24 Clemson Tigers (7-0; 4-3 ATS) will have a tall task to beat the Gamecocks by nine or more points.

South Carolina takes good care of the ball and makes 40.2% of its 3-pointers (13th in the nation). Clemson connects on 40.7% of its attempts from downtown (10th), but the Tigers force a turnover on just 14.8% of opposing possessions. The Gamecocks’ backcourt has been outstanding so far this season, and we trust South Carolina to hang around against Clemson.

Both teams breed confidence at the moment. The Tigers have an 85-77 victory against Alabama under their belt, while the Gamecocks are coming off an 89-67 dismantling of George Washington. South Carolina hasn’t allowed more than 68 points in five straight outings, so add the Gamecocks +14.5 (-300) at BetMGM to your college basketball picks today.

CBB Parlay Pick #1: ⭐ Texas +12.5 Plus South Carolina +14.5 (-112) at BetMGM

Denver vs. Colorado State & UC Riverside vs. Washington State CBB Picks

CBB Parlay Pick #2: ⭐ Colorado St. Over 84.5 Points + UC Riverside +18.5 ATS (-120) at BetMGM

The No. 13 Colorado State Rams (8-0; 7-1 ATS) should have an easy job tonight. They are 21-point favorites over the Denver Pioneers (6-3; 3-4-1 ATS), who love to play at a fast pace. Hereof, we’ll add the Rams to our college basketball picks today, as they will join the party and pick up the pace in this matchup.

The Pioneers are a bad defensive team. They rank 346th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency (113.6 points per 100 possessions) and 294th in opposing 3-point percentage (36.1%). Denver has won four straight contests, taking full advantage of its cupcake schedule, and the clash against Colorado State will be a proper benchmark of their abilities.

The Rams, who boast the tenth-highest offensive rating in the country (117.1 points per 100 possessions), have scored 84 or more points in four of their last five outings. They are coming off an 86-81 victory against Washington. Colorado State should hit a 90-point mark in this matchup, and we are going with the Rams Over 84.5 Points (-300) at BetMGM as our next college basketball parlay pick.

The UC Riverside Highlanders (4-5; 3-4 ATS) take on the Washington State Cougars (6-1; 3-4 ATS) as 13.5-point road underdogs. The Highlanders are not a bad defensive team and rank 38th in the nation in defensive rebound percentage (75.3%). They own a solid backcourt duo in Isaiah Moses (12.8 PPG, 4.9 APG) and Barrington Hargress (11.2 PPG, 4.8 APG).

UC Riverside should be able to hang around in this matchup and avoid a heavy loss. The Highlanders and Cougars both prefer to play at a slow pace, and Washington State doesn’t lean on its 3-point shooting a lot (291st in 3-point rate). The Cougars won’t force a lot of turnovers either (204th in defensive turnover percentage), so take UC Riverside +18.5 (-260) at BetMGM for your college basketball parlay.

CBB Parlay Pick #2: ⭐ Colorado St. Over 84.5 Points + UC Riverside +18.5 ATS (-120) at BetMGM

Santa Barbara vs. New Mexico Pick & Rice vs. Houston CBB Best Bets

CBB Parlay Pick #3: ⭐ Santa Barbara vs. New Mexico Over 149.5 Points + Houston Over 78.5 Points (-110) at BetMGM

The Santa Barbara Gauchos (4-2; 1-3-1 ATS) meet the New Mexico Lobos (7-1; 6-2 ATS) as huge 14-point underdogs. The bookies are looking for a high-scoring affair, and the total sits at 157.0 points. We are expecting to see a firecracker, too, and will add this game to our best college basketball picks today

The Lobos play at a lightning-fast pace, tallying 73.0 possessions per 40 minutes (22nd). They score 114.2 points per 100 possessions (27th) on a 36.5% shooting from beyond the arc (71st). New Mexico just trounced New Mexico State 106-62 despite missing senior guard Jamal Mashburn (18.2 PPG) due to an injury.

Five Lobos are scoring points in double figures, and the Gauchos will have a tall task to slow them down. Santa Barbara can score (19th in effective field goal percentage), but the Gauchos are not a great defensive team and allow 106.6 points per 100 possessions (223rd). Hereof, we are taking Santa Barbara vs. New Mexico Over 149.5 Points (-260) at BetMGM for our next college basketball parlay pick.

For our final college basketball pick today, we are taking the Houston Cougars Team Total Over 78.5 Points (-260). Houston (8-0; 4-4 ATS) is a massive 27.5-point home fave over the Rice Owls (3-5; 2-5 ATS), who allow 109.2 points per 100 possessions (283rd).

Rice plays at a fast pace, recording 71.2 possessions per 40 minutes (73rd). The Owls rank 320th in opposing effective field goal percentage (54.9%), and the Cougars will score at will in this game. Houston doesn’t prefer to pick up the pace, but the Cougars won’t mind pushing the ball in transition against Rice, so we are backing them to hit an 80-point mark for the first time since November 11 and an 82-50 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Cougars are one of the best defensive teams in the country. They’ll force the Owls into a lot of turnovers and get plenty of easy baskets in transition. Rice is a bad defensive unit, and the Owls have allowed 78 or more points in six of their last seven outings.

CBB Parlay Pick #3: ⭐ Santa Barbara vs. New Mexico Over 149.5 Points + Houston Over 78.5 Points (-110) at BetMGM
