FanDuel Predicts Review 2026 | Sports, Finance & Crypto Markets

Reviewed by

FanDuel has taken its familiar sports-first experience and applied it to prediction markets with FanDuel Predicts.

After testing the app, we found that one of its biggest strengths is how easily sports fans can trade event contracts. But this isn't simply FanDuel Sportsbook under another name. You can trade everything from sports and entertainment outcomes to crypto prices, stock indexes, commodities, and economic indicators.

Our FanDuel Predicts review explains how it works, where sports trading is available, and whether its growing range of markets can compete with established prediction market apps.

Pros
  • Financial markets available in all 50 states
  • Sports, crypto, finance & culture markets
  • Combination event contracts available
  • 4.8/5 iOS rating
  • Strong responsible trading controls
  • Backed by FanDuel and CME Group
Cons
  • Sports markets available in fewer states
  • Bonus credit expires quickly

Who is FanDuel Predicts?

FanDuel Predicts is a prediction market platform created through a joint venture between FanDuel Group and CME Group.

The standalone app launched in December 2025, initially offering event contracts listed through CME Group's derivatives exchanges. In June 2026, FanDuel expanded its product through a partnership with Crypto.com and OG Prediction Markets, adding additional sports, entertainment, and combined-event contracts.

This gives FanDuel Predicts a considerably broader scope than FanDuel Sportsbook.

Instead of limiting yourself to sporting events, you can take positions on subjects ranging from the S&P 500 and Bitcoin to economic indicators and cultural events.

The experience is also fundamentally different. FanDuel Sportsbook sets odds and accepts your wager. On Predicts, you're trading event contracts whose prices move with the market.

How are They Regulated?

FanDuel Predicts doesn't operate under the same state-by-state sportsbook framework as FanDuel Sportsbook.

Accounts are opened with FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, which is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a Futures Commission Merchant and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA).
Its event contracts are listed on CFTC-regulated derivatives exchanges.

Originally, FanDuel Predicts relied on contracts listed through CME Group. In June 2026, it expanded to include contracts from OG Prediction Markets, the Crypto.com-affiliated exchange and clearinghouse registered with the CFTC as a Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization.

Users must be 18 or older to trade.

Where are They Available?

This is where FanDuel Predicts requires a little explanation.

FanDuel Predicts is available to trade in all 50 states, but not every market is available in every state.

Financial and other eligible event contracts can be traded nationwide. FanDuel specifically identifies markets covering benchmarks such as:

  • S&P 500
  • Nasdaq-100
  • Oil
  • Gas
  • Gold
  • Cryptocurrencies
  • GDP
  • CPI

Sports are much more restricted.

As of Sept. 2026, FanDuel's iOS listing says sports markets are available in: Alabama, Alaska, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Utah.

That's 18 states.

The variety of markets is what sets this platform apart. While we found deep liquidity in the sports section, covering over 15 sports, including the NFL, NBA, and even chess, the platform is best known for its political and economic markets.

You can trade on anything from the daily high temperature in a particular city and election winners to "mention markets," live events where users predict which words and phrases will be said. The platform performs best during major news cycles, as prices react almost instantly to breaking information.

FanDuel Predicts sports markets are available in states without legalized online sports betting. If you're in a state where FanDuel Sportsbook operates legally, you'll instead be directed to the FanDuel Sportsbook app for sports betting.

This distinction only applies to sports. FanDuel Predicts' financial and other eligible event contracts are much more widely available across the US.

What Markets Do They Offer?

FanDuel Predicts has developed into a genuinely multi-category prediction platform.

You'll find markets covering:

  • Sports
  • Financials
  • Crypto
  • Commodities
  • Economics
  • Culture
  • Entertainment

The sports menu is particularly strong in eligible states.

During our review, we found markets covering major US sports and international competitions, with contracts structured around questions such as whether a team will win, cover a particular number, or achieve another defined outcome.

FanDuel's current app listing highlights World Soccer, basketball, hockey, award shows, and Bitcoin as examples of the breadth available.

The financial side is one of FanDuel Predicts' bigger differentiators from conventional sportsbooks.

You can trade contracts tied to stock-market benchmarks, commodity prices, cryptocurrencies, and economic data. That means you could move from predicting an NFL game to taking a position on Bitcoin or an economic indicator without leaving the same app.

How Does FanDuel Predicts Work?

At its simplest, FanDuel Predicts asks you to decide whether something will or won't happen.

Select Yes if you think the stated event will occur or No if you don't.

Contracts typically trade between $0.01 and $0.99. Their prices fluctuate as market expectations change.

Imagine a Yes contract is trading at $0.65.

Buying 10 contracts would cost $6.50 before applicable fees. If the contract settles "Yes," each winning contract pays $1, producing a $10 settlement value.

If the event resolves No, the Yes contracts become worthless.

The important distinction from sportsbook betting is that the contract has a market price while the event remains unresolved. That gives you the possibility of exiting a position rather than waiting for the final result.

How to Trade

We found the actual trading process easy to pick up:

  1. Choose an available market.
  2. Select Yes or No.
  3. Decide how much you want to risk.
  4. Review the potential payout.
  5. Confirm your position.
  6. Follow the contract as its price changes.
  7. Hold until settlement or sell early when available.

FanDuel displays how much you're risking and the potential payout before you confirm.

If your prediction is correct, you receive the relevant payout. If it's wrong, your loss is limited to the amount you put into the position.

Selling Early

You don't necessarily have to wait until an event finishes.

FanDuel Predicts allows positions to be sold early when available.

This becomes useful when the market moves in your favor.

For example, if you buy a Yes contract at $0.40 and its market value subsequently climbs to $0.70, you may be able to sell rather than continuing to risk the position until settlement.

However, the ability to exit shouldn't be treated as guaranteed. Market liquidity and available pricing can affect whether an early sale is possible.

Combination Event Contracts

FanDuel Predicts also supports combination event contracts.

These allow multiple outcomes to be combined into a single trade, giving sports users an experience conceptually similar to building a parlay.

FanDuel expanded its combination offering in June 2026 through its partnership with Crypto.com and OG Prediction Markets.

We found this one of the easiest features to understand, especially if you’re already familiar with FanDuel Sportsbook, because the basic concept is already familiar: more outcomes must resolve correctly, and the potential return increases accordingly.

The underlying product is still an event contract rather than a sportsbook parlay, however, so users shouldn't assume the pricing mechanics are identical.

Fees & Payment Methods

The exchange fee scales with how close a contract's price sits to a coin-flip (50¢). Fees peak in the middle of the range and taper off toward the extremes.

Fee schedule reflects the per-contract fee table supplied for FanDuel Predicts event contracts. Fees are set by the platform and subject to change — confirm current rates against the live fee schedule before publishing.

FanDuel Predicts charges a 2% transaction fee based on your potential payout, which is included when you review your trade at checkout.

Fees also apply when you cash out early. Importantly, the fee can still be based on your original potential payout, rather than the lower amount you're cashing out. For example, if your original potential payout was $100, up to $2 could be deducted even if you later cash out for less than $100.

The exact fee is shown before you confirm the transaction. For example, closing 25 contracts priced at $0.12 each would give you a $3 contract value. At a $0.01 fee per contract, you'd pay another $0.25, bringing the total to $3.25.

FanDuel Predicts currently supports debit cards, Apple Pay, and online banking for deposits and withdrawals. Credit cards aren't accepted.

Payment MethodDeposit LimitsWithdrawal Time
Debit Card$5–$2,500Within 24 hours
Apple Pay$5–$5,000Within 24 hours
Online Banking$5–$250,000Up to 5 business days

Online banking uses Plaid to verify your bank details. To withdraw to a debit card, you'll first need to make a deposit with that card, while online banking withdrawals don't have the same requirement.

Winning payouts aren't immediately withdrawable. They first take 1–2 business days to clear after settlement. FanDuel then reviews withdrawal requests, which can take up to 24 hours, or up to 48 hours for your first withdrawal.

Once approved, debit card and Apple Pay withdrawals should arrive within 24 hours. Online banking withdrawals can take up to five business days, depending on your bank.

Special Features

Three Pricing Displays

One small but significant feature we liked is the ability to change how contract prices are displayed.
FanDuel Predicts currently supports:

  • Percentage
  • Multiplier
  • Cents

American odds aren't available.

For experienced sportsbook users, that takes some adjustment. However, displaying contracts as percentages can actually make prediction-market pricing easier to understand because it closely reflects the probability implied by the current contract price.

Live Sports Markets

FanDuel Predicts includes live sports events in eligible states.

That allows contract prices to react during games rather than restricting users to pre-event predictions. The app is designed to let you follow your positions and results in real time.

Given FanDuel's background in sports betting, this is an area we'll be watching closely as the product develops.

FanDuel Account Integration

Existing FanDuel customers don't necessarily need to start completely from scratch.

You can use your existing FanDuel username when accessing Predicts, although Predicts and Sportsbook maintain separate wallets, histories, and promotions.

Predicts activity does not earn progress in the FanDuel Sportsbook Rewards Club. FanDuel treats Predicts promotions separately.

Promotions

Welcome Offer

FanDuel Predicts currently gives new users the chance to earn up to $100 in Predicts Bonus by making qualifying $1 trades over five days.

The structure is unusually simple.

Make your first real-money trade of at least $1, and your five-day promotional window begins. Place a qualifying $1+ real-money trade each day, and you'll receive $20 in Predicts Bonus per qualifying day.

Complete all five days, and that's: $20 × 5 = $100 maximum bonus.

FanDuel says each bonus should arrive within 72 hours.

There is an important catch.

The reward is a non-withdrawable Predicts Bonus, not $100 in withdrawable cash. FanDuel's current promotional page also states that each bonus expires 24 hours after receipt, so you'll need to use this promotion promptly.

How to Claim

  1. Sign up for FanDuel Predicts.
  2. Complete account verification.
  3. Make your first deposit.
  4. Trade at least $1 in real money.
  5. Repeat a qualifying $1+ trade each day for five days.
  6. Receive $20 in Predicts Bonus for each qualifying day.
  7. Earn up to $100 total.

The five-day period begins when you make your first qualifying real-money trade, so don't activate the promotion until you're prepared to trade on consecutive qualifying days.

Refer a Friend Program

FanDuel Predicts also has a Refer a Friend program for existing customers. Open the Referral Hub in the app, copy your unique referral link, and share it with a friend. You'll receive a referral reward once they register through your link and complete the qualifying requirements.

A few restrictions apply. Your friend must be a completely new FanDuel customer, not just new to FanDuel Predicts, and must meet the legal age and eligibility requirements in their location.

You can earn rewards for up to 10 successful referrals within a rolling 30-day period. Existing customers across the US can participate, but referral rewards and new-customer offers vary by the referred friend's state.

The in-app Referral Hub lets you track referrals in progress, completed referrals, and the rewards you've earned.

Predicts Bonus

FanDuel also awards Predicts Bonus through selected promotions. These are bonus funds you can use exclusively for trades on FanDuel Predicts.

Predicts Bonus isn't automatically added to a trade. You'll need to select an available reward at checkout, and only one bonus can be used per order. Each reward also has its own expiration date, so check how long you have to use it before trading.

The important thing to remember is that the bonus itself isn't returned as part of a winning payout. For example, if you use a $10 Predicts Bonus and your trade settles for $50, you'll receive $40.

You can also cash out a position purchased with Predicts Bonus when available, provided the current payout is above $0. The event itself can take place after your bonus expires - you only need to place the qualifying order before the expiration deadline.

App & Site User Experience

FanDuel's experience building consumer-facing sports apps shows here.

FanDuel Predicts doesn't immediately present you with a dense order book or a professional trading interface that can make prediction markets intimidating.

During our initial review, we found the Yes/No approach straightforward. Potential returns are shown before you confirm, and categories make it relatively easy to switch between sports, crypto, financial, and cultural markets.

The app also lets you switch between cents, percentages, and multiplier pricing, which helps if traditional contract prices initially feel unfamiliar.

There's good external evidence for the app experience, too.

As of our review, FanDuel Predicts holds a 4.8/5 rating from more than 6,000 ratings on Apple's App Store. Additionally, the Android version has a 4.6/5 rating. That's a strong early reception for a product that only launched in late 2025.

It's possible to sign in with existing FanDuel credentials, or you can create a new account if you don't already have one.

Trading is only possible via mobile.

How FanDuel Predicts Compares to Other Prediction Market Apps

FanDuel Predicts occupies an interesting middle ground.

Compared with Fanatics Markets, the two platforms share an obvious sports-first approach. Both are designed to make event contracts accessible to customers who may already understand sportsbooks but have never traded a prediction market.

FanDuel has a major advantage in nationwide reach for its financial and economic contracts. Its sports product is much more geographically restricted.

Compared with Polymarket, FanDuel currently feels more focused on mainstream sports and financial markets than on the wide range of political, breaking news, and unusual real-world questions that define Polymarket.

The CME Group relationship is another important distinction. FanDuel combines its consumer-facing sports experience with infrastructure and contracts from established CFTC-regulated derivatives exchanges. Its 2026 OG Prediction Markets partnership has further broadened that offering.

Which experience makes more sense ultimately depends on what you want to trade. Someone primarily interested in unusual political and current events markets may find FanDuel limiting, while users interested in sports, crypto, economic indicators, and financial benchmarks have plenty to explore.

Safety & Responsibility Measures

Sign-Up & Account Verification

FanDuel Predicts uses a Know Your Customer (KYC) process before you can start trading. The process goes beyond basic identity verification and asks about your previous trading experience and financial background.

During our test, we had to:

  1. Confirm our address.
  2. State how many years of experience we had trading equities, futures, options, or swaps.
  3. Provide financial information, including employment status, occupation, estimated annual income, estimated liquid net worth, and primary source of funds.
  4. Review and agree to the relevant terms.
  5. Make our first deposit before starting to trade.

These additional financial questions make the onboarding process feel noticeably different from opening a standard FanDuel Sportsbook account and reflect the fact that Predicts offers regulated event contracts rather than conventional sportsbook bets.

Responsible Trading

This is one of the stronger areas of FanDuel Predicts.

Rather than treating responsible trading as a simple risk disclaimer, FanDuel carried several of its existing consumer-protection systems into Predicts.

Available tools include deposit limits, deposit alerts, and self-exclusion. FanDuel also provides access to mental-health support through Kindbridge Behavioral Health.

The platform also provides educational material explaining prediction markets and event contracts before users start trading.

That matters because the sportsbook-like interface shouldn't disguise the financial risk involved.

FanDuel explicitly warns that derivatives trading involves significant risk and isn't appropriate for everyone. An incorrect prediction can result in the entire amount committed under an event contract being lost.

The combination of educational resources and actual account controls is a stronger approach than platforms that simply display a trading-risk warning.

Our Final Verdict on Polymarket

FanDuel Predicts succeeds at making prediction market apps feel less like a professional trading terminal and more like a consumer product.

Its biggest strengths are its simple Yes/No trading interface, sports coverage in eligible states, nationwide financial markets, combination contracts, and backing from FanDuel and CME Group.

The range also extends well beyond sports. Crypto, stock indexes, commodities, economics, entertainment, and cultural events give users plenty to explore, even in states where sports event contracts aren't available.

There are some compromises.

Sports availability is restricted to 18 states at the time of our review. Predicts uses a separate wallet from FanDuel Sportsbook, and sportsbook users will need to adjust to contract pricing rather than American odds.

The Get $100 in Bonus When You Trade $1 for 5 Days promotion is particularly accessible because each qualifying trade requires only $1. Just remember that the rewards are Predicts Bonus rather than withdrawable cash and currently expire quickly after they're credited.

For existing FanDuel customers curious about prediction markets, Predicts provides one of the more familiar entry points into event-contract trading.
