Missouri Casinos Roll On As November Gaming Revenue Climbs To $158.6 Million

Missouri’s casinos showed solid growth during November, with statewide gaming revenue increasing 3% year on year to $158.6million, according to figures released by the state’s Gaming Commission.

This reflects steady consumer demand across slot machines and table games and highlights the maturity of the casino market as it approaches the end of 2025.

Slot machines dominated the state’s market, bringing in $137.1m for the month, also up 3% from the prior year.

Table games recorded an equally solid performance, generating $21.5m in revenue, also up 3%. The figures point to balanced gains across gaming verticals rather than reliance on a single segment to drive profitability.

Ameristar St. Charles Casino was once again the state’s top-performing property, with revenue just topping $24.3m in November.

That total represented a 5% year-on-year increase and cemented the casino’s position as a leader in Missouri’s gaming sector, situated on the outskirts of the St. Louis metropolitan area, Ameristar St. Charles benefits from strong local traffic and a wide range of gaming, dining, and entertainment options.

The St. Charles property also led the state in table game revenue, reporting an 11% increase to $4.5m.

On slots, Ameristar narrowly beat River City Casino, posting $19.8m in revenue, an increase of 4%.

River City followed closely, generating $19.3m from slots after a 6% year-on-year increase, and total casino revenue of $21.8m, up 4%.

Hollywood Casino St. Louis also exceeded the $20m mark in November, reporting $20.9m in revenue.

That figure represented an 8% increase from a year earlier and placed it among the stronger performers within Missouri’s larger properties.

The biggest percentage gain in the state belonged to Horseshoe St. Louis, which increased revenue by 12% to nearly $12.8m.

The growth suggests renewed momentum at the downtown St. Louis casino, which has worked to improve its appeal amid increasing regional competition.

In the Kansas City market, results were mixed but broadly positive. Harrah’s Kansas City reported a 4% increase to $13.8m, while Bally’s Kansas City generated $10.6m in revenue, up 3%.

Ameristar Kansas City did not match the success of its St. Charles counterpart, posting nearly $16m in revenue, down 2% year on year.

Elsewhere, Mark Twain Casino saw revenue rise 6% to $2.7m, Isle of Capri Boonville increased 3% to $7.6m, and St. Jo Frontier Casino gained 2% to $3.9m.

Not all properties benefited from the upswing, however, with Argosy down 3% to $13.2m. Century Casino Caruthersville fell 5% to just over $5m, while Century’s Cape Girardeau property declined 6% to $5.9m.

Overall, the November results point to a stable and growing Missouri casino market, with both slots and table games recording gains and several major properties posting strong performances to close out the year.
