FanDuel Sportsbook is excellent for new bettors in New Jersey. Known for its beginner betting guides and "Betting 101" videos, FanDuel offers one of the best NJ sportsbook promos for newcomers. You can't talk about FanDuel without mentioning their incredible super boosts, which are available almost daily and can greatly enhance payouts.
We were particularly impressed by the FanDuel app's interface. Daily odds and other information are front and center, while bet slips and other information are hidden until needed. A less cluttered experience makes placing wagers easier.
Pros & Cons
- Ongoing promos are consistent and rotate frequently
- Extensive betting menus, particularly for live betting
- Integrated with DFS & online casino
- Cash at counter payments available
- Wide range of responsible gambling measures
- Official betting partner of NFL & NHL
- No loyalty program
- Fewer existing player promotions
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "I have enjoyed many apps, from big to small, but nothing compares to FanDuel in terms of user interface and betting options. While they are one of the giants in the industry, FanDuel’s Betting 101 helps even the most experienced bettor. They do try to think of everything."

Known for competitive odds, an impressive range of markets, a wide range of banking options, and excellent live betting features, bet365 provides an elite experience. bet365 boasts the best collection of existing promotions in NJ, including early cash-outs, odds boosts, profit boosts, parlay bonuses, and specials.
We were also happy to find that you can withdraw to MasterCard and Visa, which isn’t available with all New Jersey online sportsbooks.
There are a couple of areas where bet365 could improve. We’d like to see a loyalty program introduced, and the app appears somewhat outdated compared to its competitors. We found it less intuitive than other New Jersey sportsbook apps, but quickly grew accustomed to its layout and interface. However, if you want a sportsbook with competitive odds, a generous welcome bonus, and extensive betting markets, bet365 NJ is a top choice for bettors seeking depth and variety.
Pros & Cons
- Generous welcome bonus options
- Lots of live betting options
- Early cashout offered all year round
- Great features, including early cash out, same-game parlays, live streams
- More online banking & withdrawal options than most NJ sportsbooks
- Market-leading odds
- No loyalty program available to users in New Jersey
- Some crashes reported
- Outdated design of app and desktop site
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "Bet365 signup experience is smooth and hassle-free, with secure authentication and easy access to account information. Their betting experience is also top-notch, with a user-friendly interface, competitive odds, and a wide range of betting options available. Overall, a seamless and enjoyable experience for both logging in and placing bets."
- “You know how smooth and easy it is to use Bet365??? I have 20 other books downloaded and my favorite is Bet365. The search function, the way you can edit your bets even after you place them, and how nice and quick it is to find exactly what you need, they truly designed one of the best sportsbook apps.”

DraftKings is a must-have sportsbook in New Jersey, offering ongoing daily promotions, a wide menu of player prop bets, impressive live streaming, and extensive same-game parlays. There’s everything you’d want in an online betting site; you will never run short on betting options on DraftKings.
The intuitive, visually appealing desktop and app make DraftKings one of our top NJ sportsbooks. When testing the DraftKings New Jersey app, we found the user experience excellent, with features such as betting pools, live streaming, and almost no loading times.
DraftKings may seem slightly cluttered if you are a novice sports bettor. So, while it’s one of the best out there, the user experience isn’t perfect.
Pros & Cons
- Simple, user-friendly, & polished sportsbook suitable for all experience levels
- Strong, generous welcome bonus
- Dynasty Rewards program offers wide-ranging rewards
- Consistent daily promotions for existing users, including free-to-play contests, odds boosts, & SGPs
- Extensive player props available
- Live betting & live streaming features
- Same wallet used for DraftKings Casino and Daily Fantasy Sports
- Official Partner of NFL, NHL, NBA, UFC, PGA Tour
- Can combine first deposit bonus with welcome offers

- Customer support can be slow to respond
- Limited number of withdrawal options & they can take 2-3 business days to process
- Regular promotions tend to be less valuable vs. other NJ sportsbooks
- No search bar available within the app
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "The app itself has improved. The profit boosts are nice and unlike anything I’ve ever seen on any other app or site. The lag on placing bets is less, too. The UI is nice and the social hub is a huge plus and extremely underrated"

BetMGM is undoubtedly one of the best options for sports bettors in New Jersey, thanks to its extensive betting markets, standout parlay features, competitive odds, live betting, promotions, and free-to-play games.
When betting with BetMGM, our team preferred the mobile app over the desktop. That’s not to say the desktop version is bad, but we particularly enjoyed the mobile app's user experience and speed. BetMGM offers some of the fastest payouts in New Jersey, processing withdrawals in 1-2 days, which is significantly faster than the average of three days.
But it’s not perfect. Customer service is somewhat challenging to contact, responds more slowly than competitors, and offers limited withdrawal options. Still, we can safely say that BetMGM is one of the top New Jersey sportsbooks available.
Pros & Cons
- Wide range of markets to bet on
- Live streaming options within the highly-rated app
- Generous referral bonus & welcome promo
- Auto-enrollment in MGM Rewards
- Access to BetMGM poker and BetMGM casino in NJ
- Excellent features, like early cash outs and parlays tools
- Live streaming options within the app
- Can redeem rewards at Borgata Atlantic City
- Withdrawals tend to be processed quickly
- Overall quality of promos is outdone by most competitors
- Some app lags reported by users
- Customer service can be slow at times; no phone support
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "The BETMGM app has been amazing. There are so many sports options. I've also enjoyed the wide variety of bonus tokens and free spins that make my overall experience even better. BETMGM's customer service through the app has also been beyond reproach.”

theScore Bet NJ is a premier destination for die-hard sports fans. It provides comprehensive coverage of a wide range of sports and dynamic ongoing promotions that often tie in to major sporting events.
One of our favorite things about theScore Bet is that it retained Penn Play Rewards, so bettors can keep earning perks.
Pros & Cons
- Wide variety of betting markets & payment methods
- User-friendly mobile app for on-the-go betting
- Loyalty rewards program available for regular bettors
- No desktop betting site
- No live chat available for customer support
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "I want to give a shout-out to the app's developers. When I heard they were switching from ESPN to this, I thought it might be worse, but honestly, it's actually better. ... the promotions and perks have improved significantly. I really like the daily promos as a way to maximize payouts. They offer bonus opportunities and perks with free play, almost like a next-level experience. I also appreciate that most football games are available for streaming."

Fanatics Sportsbook NJ has quickly attracted bettors with its robust live betting features, unique FanCash rewards program, and user-friendly mobile app. While promotions for existing customers are relatively limited, its innovative rewards system and regularly featured parlays provide added value.
The app provides an ever-changing home screen that you can personalize with your favorite teams and betting markets. Another neat feature of the app is the Fanatics Tracker, which provides quick stats on a sporting event.
Fanatics Sportsbook New Jersey is an excellent choice for mobile bettors who value live betting, rewards, and a well-designed app. However, those seeking frequent promotions or extensive banking options may find other sportsbooks more appealing.

- Offers news, insights, and stats
- Modest welcome offer

Borgata is one of the leading online sportsbooks in New Jersey, though it's not perfect. It's fair to say that the odds aren't always in our favor. The good news, however, is that Borgata offers plenty of odds boosts, loyalty rewards, and exceptional software. Our reviewers say they still frequently bet with Borgata online, even when at the hotel.
The desktop platform and iOS app are excellent, but the Android version has stability issues. For instance, the Android app can sometimes ask you to log in multiple times or randomly log you out in the middle of bets. The developers actively respond to comments on Google Play, addressing issues and assisting customers. However, be aware that the Android app can be unstable at times.
So, while there is room for improvement, we're still happy to rank Borgata as one of the top New Jersey betting sites.
Pros & Cons
- Great features and unique innovations, including live betting, bet editing, and live streaming
- Offers in-app casino gaming
- Automatically eligible for MGM Rewards
- Rewards that can be redeemed at the Borgata hotel in Atlantic City
- Android app has stability issues
- Odds aren't always competitive
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "Online support is always helpful and the app is easy to use. I just wish you could change the lines more than what they offer. Like BetRivers you can change a line 10 pts either way."

When reviewing Hard Rock Bet in NJ, we enjoyed the quick payments, easy-to-use interface, betting options, and betting odds.
Hard Rock Bet excels at promptly paying out players and offers an intriguing rewards program. The program allows rewards to be redeemed at cafes or casinos, including the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City.
Hard Rock Bet also lets you add pins and favorites. Pins allow you to save events to bet on later, and favorites help track your past and current sports bets.
Pros & Cons
- Reliable customer support
- Easy-to-use user interface & design
- Rewards program
- Speedy withdrawals
- Redeem rewards at Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City
- Limited promotions for existing users
- Limited betting markets
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "Hard Rock Bet is a fantastic online betting platform that offers a wide range of sports betting options. The website is user-friendly and provides a seamless betting experience. The odds are competitive, and the site offers many betting markets, allowing users like me to bet on their favorite sports and events."

Caesars Sportsbook offers NFL streaming, an intuitive mobile app, and a seamless betting experience, making it a strong option for New Jersey bettors. Caesars also offers an impressive range of markets, odds boosts, parlays, early payout offers, and in-game betting.
Caesars presents one of the best, most consistent betting apps in NJ. Most users find the mobile experience incredibly convenient, as the app is extremely well-rated in both app stores.
Caesars could improve in a couple of areas. We'd like to see upgrades to the mobile betting design; the app appears somewhat outdated compared to competitors'. Still, Caesars NJ remains a worthwhile option if you're seeking a sportsbook with competitive odds, a generous welcome bonus, and a wide range of betting markets.
Pros & Cons

- Lacks real-time stat tracking
- Lags during live streams and with geolocation service
- Customer service can be lacking
- Outdated mobile design
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "I like it, but it needs to improve a little. I like more options when it comes to sports betting. Other sites allow you to pick from alternative points, rebounds, assists, etc. I did not see that on here. Caesars could improve that aspect."

Sporttrade is different from any other New Jersey sportsbook, as it is the only exchange betting site available in the state. It lets you bet on sports like stocks. You can buy or sell your bets anytime, unlike other NJ sportsbooks, where you have to wait for the game to finish.
Although it's a little different, you'll quickly become immersed in this format because it gives you more control over your bets. The top-tier pricing on this exchange doesn’t cap your betting amount, and you can set your pricing, too, at any point in any game.
The sports selection is limited, so don't expect an extensive betting menu. Though there are fewer reviews than on other sites, players praise Sporttrade for its unique approach, user-friendly platform, and consistent odds pricing.
Pros & Cons
- Unique sports betting format
- Referral program
- User-friendly mobile app on iOS
- Market-leading, transparent odds pricing with low vig
- No caps on betting limits
- Fast withdrawal processing times
- Excellent customer service
- Limited ongoing promotions for existing users
- No desktop betting site
- No loyalty program
- Only offers markets on select sports
- No live streaming available
- App no longer available on Android
What NJ App Users are Saying
- "I have been a heavy user of Sporttrade since its first days of availability. You always know the price of a bet and the amount of money available to bet, regardless of your perceived skill."
- "Transparency is rare in sports betting apps. A 2% commission on profitable bets is a much better price than most books. Sporttrade gives you that, along with great prices, to cash out of games pregame or live."

New Jersey Sports Betting Legislation & Regulation
Gov. Phil Murphy signed Assembly Bill 4111 into law on June 11, 2018, a month after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PAPSA), which prohibited sports betting outside Nevada. The NJ bill allowed legal online sports betting and betting at racetracks and casinos.
Since New Jersey adopted legal sports gambling, sports bettors have wagered billions of dollars. Thanks to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the state ensures that sports betting is legal.
The New Jersey Casino Control Commission oversees all gambling in the state, and the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), a branch of the commission, enforces the state's Casino Control Act regarding sports gambling, both in person and online.
The DGE issues casino-related licenses, audits casino operations in several places, such as Atlantic City, tests gaming platforms, and investigates gambling-related crimes. Twelve retail locations can partner with up to three online betting skins, meaning there could be 36 different New Jersey sportsbooks.

Responsible Gambling in New Jersey
NJ sportsbooks offer several responsible gambling programs for players who may need assistance with problem gambling. The state allows bettors to self-exclude from sports betting and all other forms of gambling for a specified period or permanently.
All NJ sportsbooks allow bettors to set specific limits on deposits and wagers, as well as time spent on the online site.
Here are some helpful tips for sports bettors to get the most from their NJ sports betting accounts:
- Only play at reputable NJ sports betting sites: Bettors should only sign up with NJ sportsbooks that are appropriately licensed and regulated by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, whose mission is to protect the public interest. Avoid offshore sportsbooks, which lack proper regulation and safeguards, and may abruptly shut down at any time. So stick to only legal sports betting sites.
- Set a budget and stick to it: Discipline is crucial to any form of gambling. Setting a reasonable budget and exercising proper money management make sports betting more enjoyable and reduce downside risk.
- Understand the fine print of any bonus offer or promotion: Most online bonus offers and promotions include wagering requirements. Futures bets are entertaining, but leave your cash tied up for a long time. Using a bonus bet for futures is excellent as the odds are typically long, and you don't commit your own cash for a long time.
