Adam Caplan's NFL Daily Fantasy Top Plays for Week 15
With just two weeks left in the fantasy football season, the sense of urgency is clearly here.
And just like with NFL teams, fantasy owners need to micromanage their decisions and take every piece of pertinent information into account. It’s time to get down to business and make great decisions.
Good luck in Week 15 and be sure to check out our list of the best daily fantasy sites.
Week 15 Quarterback Best Bet
Russell Wilson = $8,000 at FanDuel
Matchup: Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
Sure, Wilson had one of the worst games of his career last week against a great Vikings defense.
While he only had 20 passing attempts, he only completed 10 of them and he never seemed to get into any type of rhythm.
This week, he’ll face a 49ers defense which has given up 28 passing TDs so far this season. And the 49ers also have given up 10 passing TDs over their last four games as well as 218 passing yards per game over that timeframe.
Let’s also keep in mind that just two weeks ago at home against the 49ers that Wilson still had four TD passes on just 17 passing attempts. So even if the Seahawks run the ball a lot like their normally do, Wilson will still throw the ball in the red zone.
This is a very favorable matchup and one where the veteran signal caller should get the job done for fantasy owners.
Week 15 Running Back Best Bet
Saquon Barkley = $9,400 at FanDuel
Matchup: New York Giants vs. Tennessee Titans
For those who selected Barkley in the first round of their fantasy drafts, you have to feel pretty good right about now (if you’re still in the playoff hunt). He has been great for most of the season, but has been especially outstanding over his last four games.
Over that timeframe, the rookie has posted 538 yards rushing, four rushing TDs, 16 receptions, and two receiving TDs.
While this week’s matchup against the Titans isn’t easy, their defense still has given up over 5 yards per carry and three rushing TDs over their last four games.
The foundation of the Giants offense starts with Barkley, not QB Eli Manning. So, you can count on head coach Pat Shurmur to dial up Barkley a lot on Sunday. And there’s no reason to think that the numbers you’re looking for from him won’t be there by the end of the day.
Week 15 Wide Receiver Best Bets
Julian Edelman = $7,200 at FanDuel
Matchup: New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers
Edelman, now in his 10th season, still remains as one of QB Tom Brady’s most reliable pass targets. Over his last four games, Edelman has been targeted a whopping 37 times, posted 25 receptions for 269 yards to go along with two TD catches.
It’s very apparent, despite having more passing options than usual this season, Brady isn’t going away from Edelman.
And with every game lately taking on a greater importance, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels continues to call a lot of pass plays for the veteran pass catcher.
This week, Edelman will face a Steelers defense that has given up 34 receptions, 427 yards, and two TDs to opposing wide receivers over its last two games. And wide receivers are catching over 77% of the passes thrown their way over that timeframe. So, start Edelman with confidence this week.
Amari Cooper = $6,600 at FanDuel
Matchup: Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts
When the Cowboys traded for the former first-round pick, they immediately made him their top passing option—and it showed. Over his last four games, Cooper has posted 26 receptions, 473 receiving yards, and five TD catches.
Sure, he has benefited from a good schedule, but it’s very clear that offensive coordinator Scott Linehan believes that he must get Cooper involved early and often.
This week, Cooper will face an improving Colts secondary that has given up around 21 fantasy points, 11 yards per catch and three TDs over its last four games.
This figures to game where there will be a decent amount of points scored, so look for Cooper, who has been targeted 35 times in his last four games, to put up good numbers for fantasy owners.

Week 15 Tight End Best Bet
Cameron Brate = $5,400 at FanDuel
Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Baltimore Ravens
While the fifth-year pro doesn’t catch a ton of passes, he has been a major factor in the red zone in his career. The former undrafted free agent, who signed a contract extension earlier this year, has 23 TD on just 154 receptions (1 TD very 6.7 catches), and he has very good chemistry with QB Jameis Winston.
Brate will be facing a Ravens defense that has struggled against opposing tight ends of late. The Ravens have given up 24 receptions, 270 yards, four TDs and over 11 yards per catch to TEs over their last four games. And tight ends are catching over 77% of the passes thrown to them over that time frame.
Week 15 Flex Best Bet
Tarik Cohen = $6,800 at FanDuel
Matchup: Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
If there’s one thing that the new Bears coaching staff understands, the more they get the second-year running back in space against slower linebackers, the better off their offense will be.
Cohen, who is averaging a very solid 4.6 yards per carry, is also averaging nearly 11 yards per catch so far this season. Cohen is simply a matchup nightmare for defenses and Bears head coach Matt Nagy clearly knows this.
Cohen, who has 33 touches over his last two games, faces a very average Packers defense, which gave up about 4.6 yards per carry to opposing running backs over its last four games.
Look for Cohen to put up good numbers against a team that is already out of the playoff picture.
