Both the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty cruised to the second round after sweeping the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics. The Dallas Wings also advanced by sweeping the Atlanta Dream. Only the Connecticut Sun needed a Game 3 to advance, but the Sun won handily, earning a 90-75 win over the Minnesota Lynx in Minnesota.

As it has been all season, the Las Vegas Aces are still the favorites to win the WNBA championship at -160. Las Vegas was favored before the first games even started, and it comes as no surprise to see the Aces favored into the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs. The New York Liberty have the second shortest odds at +155 and have fluctuated from as high as +350 to where they are now, throughout the season.
When it comes to longshots, the Connecticut Sun are currently +1300 to win the WNBA championship and are also +270 to pull off the upset against the Liberty. The Dallas Wings have the longest WNBA championship odds of any of the four teams remaining at +3000. Dallas is set to face the Aces in the semifinals.

It's hard to find anything worth betting on the Aces considering they're such large favorites. Las Vegas is the WNBA title betting favorite at -160 to claim back-to-back championships. The Aces are -1300 to beat the Wings in the five-game semifinal series, meaning you'd have to bet $1,300 to win $100 if the Aces advanced.
Instead, we're going to go with the Aces to win 3-0 (+105) at BetMGM. This means Las Vegas needs to sweep the Wings in order for this bet to cash. A sweep is a strong possibility given Las Vegas' recent form it showed over Chicago, winning 87-59 and 92-70.
The Wings do have the distinction of being one of the few teams to beat the Aces, winning 80-78 back on July 7, but the Aces were victorious in the other meetings, winning 89-82, 104-84 and 104-91.

In what projects as the closest matchup of the two semifinals, the New York Liberty will face the Connecticut Sun. New York swept the season series 3-0 with wins 81-65, 89-81, 95-90 in overtime and 89-58 in the latest meeting on Sept. 1.
Connecticut deserves credit for its 90-75 Game 3 win on the road at Minnesota to secure the franchise's fifth straight WNBA semifinal appearance, but with the Liberty winning all four matchups this season and doing so in dominant fashion in the last meeting, we like the Liberty to win (-210) at FanDuel. The Sun have had competitive games with New York this season, so we don't believe a sweep is on the table, but we expect the Liberty to advance.
New York has won 10 of its last 11 games and looked like the dominant team everyone projected before the season started. Its all-star core of Sabrina Ionescu, Courtney Vandersloot, Jonequel Jones and Breanna Stewart have continued to mesh more as the season has gone on, and we expect them to roll in this series.
